Pregnancy & Parenting - 10 November 2006

Im 18 years old and have a 6 month old son. since the birth i have been trying to loose all my baby weight, but no matter what i do it wont shift!!!
When i had my twins 5 years ago it dropped off me and i was a size 6 again in about 2 months.
whats going on??? please help i feel so unattractive and im worried that my husband will get fed up of me.

I didn't know how to word this question...
But I've heard "if you wait to have kids until you can afford it, you'll never have them" (at least us middle class people)... so I'm really wondering about how much money will we have to have for a baby and as they grow if anyone has an idea. Because we aren't sure when to start a family (I'm 25, he's 26). I always wanted to be a young mom, but it will take five years until he's making really good money... I just want to be able to provide for my children, and I want several.... but I know you need money for that. We haven't had a year yet at his job, but I'm gonna guess our yearly combined income will be about $65,000... and we have some debt, and a truck payment, a mortgage... you know. Life. Thanks for any suggestions or advice.

Even when I suggest something that he genuinely likes such as the park or playground, etc. he would prefer to stay at home or at the very least, it takes me hours (literally HOURS!) of cajoling to get us out the door. If I have something that needs to get done, I will just say we're going and pick him up and go which sometimes elicits crying and/or protest so I don't want to do that in order to take him to the park, but.... So any suggestions or advice on why my child wants to stay inside and play with me instead of play with me OUTside on beautiful autumn days? Going crazy and feeling housebound!

My husband drinks one margarita with dinner about 5 days a week. We are trying to conceive our first baby and I never drink.

He doesn't smoke or do drugs, and is very healthy (as am I).

Will his one margarita with dinner affect us conceiving? Should I ask him to only have one or two margaritas a week?

At what point do you consider your one year old child too sick to go to an in home day care. My provider only requires fever free/vomit free for 24 hours, but I do want to be thoughtful of the other children (although have no idea if other parents are as thoughtful). We are first time parents and not sure where to draw the line.

I am so excited I tested positive on 3 different HPT's!!! My husband and I are thrilled. However, I called the doctors office and their next opening isnt until Nov 22, is that okay???? They said that if the HPT was positive than when I come in the first time they will do the all the blook work and the u/s to see how many weeks i am pregant ( I know that i am 4 weeks and 3 days now). Also i a friend of my told me that when it is your first pregancy there is an increase risk of miscarriages? is that true? when should i tell family and firends about my pregancy????Also can you please let me know what website are good to follow for nuritional information. What should I eat what shouldnt i stay away from??? My wieght is good right now but I am about 3 pounds overwieght and my body mass index is 26.5 and it should be 25, so please help me out... Ok for the last 2 years my period has only been about 3 days long. Before that it would always last for 7 days. Im only 21 so its not menopause or anything like that. I admit my diet has changed a bit, im eating out more but could that be the cause?

hi im 11 weeks prego but my doc said she couldnt give me an u/s till i was 18 weeks i'm worried i smoke cigs and my doc said i shouldnt quit cause the baby could go through withdrawls. I was jus wondering if anybody knows if u should feel anything or if i was suppose to be getting a stomache. how am i suppose to know if the baby is ok in my tummy. any advice is appreciated thank-you and congrats to all. i became pregnant and had my first son. he is now a year old, and i am now seventeen. i am six months pregnant, and my boyfriend wants to keep the baby. he provides for nathan, my one year old son, and i know he will provide for the new baby. Sometimes i feel like he is cheating on me though. when i ask him about it he tells me he just has to get out of the house and be alone. but when he goes it is usually the whole night...is this a sign of cheating?

i think i may actually want to be? even though it is a really bad time for me an my bf to have a baby. i already have one. we are both mature adults and could handle having another baby. now is not a good itme but if i am i will be happy. and i think he will be too. so when i take the test whatever it says i will be happy. if i get preggo so be it. i'm not gonna try but i'm not gonna stress over it either.

so my question is, have you ever felt the same way??

I went to the Doctor and took a blood test and they said i got a 1.5 HCG(pregnancy hormone) level and they said it was negative. how do you have a 1.5 pregnancy hormone level and it be negative?? Do NON-PREGNANT women have HCG in their system?? thanks

Hi There, My last period was on 11 Of September 2006. i went to the doctors today and they done a vaginal scan they could not detect my baby's heart beat.. they said that they could see a sac and something in it..but it was not the size of an 8 week baby..they have requested i go back in 10 days..they didnt really explain much to me any suggestion or help??

I am about two weeks late. I had some spotting about 3 weeks ago. I've been nauseous, really tired, and I have headaches. My breasts aren't tender at all though and I've had two negative home pregnancy tests. I have had horrible cramping for about 2 weeks and if I'm not pregnant, I'm worried something else is wrong. I've also had constipation, diarreha, and a high (not-fever) temperature for a couple weeks. I've also been peeing a lot with no increase in fluid intake, although it could just be in my head. I just feel pregnant, but I don't have insurance, so I'd like to wait to take a blood test, although my bf said he'd pay for it. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

This month my period was only 3 days long and lighter and a different color then my normal period and was 4 days early. my actuall period was to be here the 6th of nov. my normal periods are always 7 days long and heavy the frist 3 days and crampy this time i wsa only crampy one time. when it started. Then i started to feel nasus at times. only at night. one night i felt like i was going to be sick but never got sick this was after my so called period was gone. I pee more its like once i fall asleep i have to pee again. my lower back is kind of stiff. and my nipples look darker around them but thats about it. before my so called period i had really sore nipples and got an yeast infection on top of that becuase i was extra wet and then my period came 4 days early and was light. lucky for me i had a yearly yesterday and i explained to my doc what i had and they took the blood test and it came back neg. but i dont know if i beleive it yet. maybe its just me. can they be wrong?
