Eat lots of fruits, vegitables, meats, nuts, and lots of dairy. Stay away from fried foods-they tend to upset the stomach. Start taking a prenatal vitamin. There is a great nutritional book for pregnant women with great recipes called "Eating Well When You're Expecting" by Heidi Murkoff. There is a list of fish you are not supposed to eat including fresh tuna. Do not eat soft cheeses. Do not eat hot dogs or deli meats unless cooked to steaming hot. Do not eat any raw meats or fish such as sushi and no raw eggs (no eating that cookie dough)! You can find a list by googling it.

The miscarraige rate for pregnancy is the same no matter how many pregnancies you have had. Tell your friends and family as early as you want. If you did, God forbid, have a miscarriage those family and friends would be there to support you. Most miscarrages happen in the first trimester and most first trimester miscarrages happen within the first 8 weeks. Once a heartbeat is seen on ultrasound, you are 95% out of the woods. A heartbeat can usually be seen at 6 weeks. Tell your doctor at your first prenatal visit that you are scared. Perhaps he will do an ultrasound to set your mind at ease.

Good luck for a healthy pregnancy.

OKAY! lol, yes not going into the doctor until the 22 is fine. Get a prenatal vitamin (over the counter ones are fine, make sure it has Folic acid) and eat healthy! Pick up the book "Eating well when you're expecting" it's from the what to expect line of books. It's great! Gives calorie info and great recipes. The only thing to stay away from completely is some types of fish, and all fish should be limited due to the amount of mercury in it. Just lots of veggies and fresh fruits along with healthy dairy and lean meats. You can tell your friends and family whenever you want, but some do wait until after 3 months. You do have a higher risk of miscarriages in your first pregnancy. But if you haven't had any "female" problems and keep the stress to a minimum. After 3 months you are in what's known as the "safe zone" where your chances of anything going wrong is cut dramaticly but it's up to you who you tell and when. I told everyone right away and I am 13 weeks now! But that's why some wait! You weight is fine! Just relax and CONGRATS!

November 22nd is right around the corner. Most Dr's dont see pregnant women until they are 6-7 weeks along anyway.

You only need 500 extra calories a day and you should eat healthy whole foods..just like anyone else. They do say to stay away from certain fish because of mercury levels but that goes for everyone.

Stick to whole grains, fruits, veggies, legumes etc.

not exactly what you're asking for, but another way to judge foodstuffs - four main divisions as in fats, carbs, protein and fruit & veg.
