I want to take my 3 year old son to watch Happy Feet, but I am not sure if 3 is too young. He can watch an entire cartoon movie at home. I just don't know how the movie theater enviroment will affect him. Any advice?

my baby girl is 11 months old and is usually pretty good. but lately whenever i scold her about something or take her hand away from something she cant have she slaps me, usually in the face. i scold her again and she just slaps me again. i dont want to slap her back because she doesnt understand the consequences yet . also, if she gets in trouble for hitting me and then i turn around and do the same thing to her that will confuse her. ive also tried distracting her with toys but she crawls back over to me and hits my leg. she also slaps her 14 yr old sister in the face whenever she (the sister) tries to give her a kiss. my older daughter gets so upset and the baby just laughs. HELP!!!!

Studies have shown that although post-war women are now contributing more than ever to the labour market (sharing the breadwinning burden) there has not been an equal shift in the areas of childcare/housework labour divisions.

The least equitable seems to be for women who work part-time who, when paid and unpaid labour is considered end up doing an average 19 hours more work compared with her male partner.

As childcare and housework can be menial/thankless/laborious work (with the latter not having the compensatory laughs, love and rewards) why do men not do more to help in these areas? As a general rule I mean, each family is diverse and some men may well dislike the disparity also.

On an aside for example, it often used to amuse me when a male colleague use to announce he was 'babysitting the kids as the wife was going out'.. not only was in partner an indefinite article (lmao) but how can someone babysit their OWN children!?

that vaccinating against HPV is going to cause women to become promiscuous, do they really have that little faith in their parenting skills, to think that a vaccination will erase everything they have taught their daughters? Isn;t it better to vaccinate and be safer then to ignore the reality of the danger of cervical cancer?

I am the leader of a congregation and one of the members has brought up to my attention a family issue.
This is not a joke!!! I honestly don't know how to deal with it. The mother walked in their 16 y/o girl and she was in all four having sex with the dog. They are horrified, as I am and want me to talk to her about it, they refuse to go see a mental health specialist at this point (I hope I can convince them soon), I understand she is at an age of exploration and all that but this one is way OUT THERE!!! Has anyone done this before? How would you handle it if it was your child?
Please feel free to im me if have any questions.

Well she is 18 and she had sex for the frist time and she ended up preg. Mind you she didnt know that she was preg at the time. She started having some very bad pains in her back and some crams. Kinda like period cramps. So she thought that she may be preg. So she went to the planning parenthood clinic and she tested postive. But they told her that she has a ectopic pregnancy. meaning the baby is growing outside of the uderas. She is so sad. She knew though that she didnt want to keep the baby. But she was even worse knowing that she was at risk of dieing because of the baby. So my quesion is what are some thiings that I can do to cheer her up?

thank you so much for reading:)

I am 22.5 weeks pregnant and have been tossing around this question since I first found out I was pregnant. You see, my bf and I were BOTH allergic to breast milk! I told my Dr this and he said it is my choice. He says there is a better chance the baby could be allergic as well but there is no evidence of this being hereditary. I have been researching all the benefits of breastfeeding and breast milk really is the BEST thing for a newborn. My dilema is I was VERY allergic (I almost didn't make it)! I know I would just die if I decided to breast feed and then poof my baby is gone! My bf really wants me to breastfeed because of all of the benefits. Money isn't an issue for us and I know that formulas now have DHA and ARA but is that enough? I feel like I am depriving my child if I don't and possibly sentencing them to sickness or death if I do. What would you do?

Okay I am 25 weeks pregnant. I noticed this morning I was leaking the yellowish discharge from my breasts, then it went clear. I stopped breastfeeding my first son about 4 months ago when I was about 2 months pregnant. Because my milk dried up because of the pregnancy and poor milk supply.

I looked in what to expect when expecting and all it said was:
Page 267 nine months and counting (looked under leking from breasts)
" The thin, yellowish discharge that some pregnant women can express, or may notice leaking from their breasts, is not milk. It is a premilk called colostrum....Many women, however, don't have any noticeable colostrum until after delivery."
It does not say when it can start.

My question is it normal for my milk to come early? Is it because I was breastfeeding my son a short while ago? And should I be worried?

I've asked a similar question before in regards to my baby's feeding, and turned out the last time, that she was actually coming down with the flu that's why she was drinking less ounces of milk, but now she is recovering, and she still doesn't want to drink her milk, the most she gets a day is 12 ounces, but she still eats her sollids very well, cereal mixed with milk, veggies and fruit...what is going on??? Is this ok, or should I contact her doctor? She is still an active baby, nothing has changed, expect her milk intake. HELP!

I heard that it helps if you label items with pictures, that kids learn where things go, and what they are. I am trying to find labels and pictures of kitchen items, such as pots and pans, plates, glasses or cups, and silverwear. Can you please help me? Or at least lead me in the right direction?

Im 7 weeks and no doctor will see me til after 3 months. I even tell them I miscaried my last (and first) pregancy and want to know NOW if things are ok this time or not....and they ALL say sorry, gotta wait. Same for my first pregancy, I miscarried at 13 weeks and no one would give me an ultrasound til 4 months, of course I miscarried before. Maybe something would have been different if I could have gotten checked earlyer. How can I get a doctor to see me earlyer, like now, and check if things are ok? Oh and Im in Canada, public health care system.
