YES! I gained a lot of weight and it drove me insane. The itching could get really annoying at times. Dont worry its normal and it will go away once you have your baby. The stretch marks however are harder to get rid of.

Itching is normal. Use a pure cocoa butter (Butter, not lotion. Palmer's is great!) on your belly and any other places you see stretch marks appearing. If you are unable to find the butter, vaseline is the next best thing.

I used this 2 to 3 times a day during my pregnancies and never had a stretch mark, until I was pregnant with my twins...and no amount of anything was going to help me than!

This was what my mother recommended to me and after 4 children she never had one stretch mark.

Yes, but use cream on your belly each day after you shower. That really helped me with the itching. I used a special cream for stretch marks. I know there is debate about whether they really work for stretch marks but I did not get any at all- and I had a huge belly!

Could be, but itching is also associated with a rare condition in pregnancy which does require medical attention, so tell your midwife.
But, equally, the hormones make the skin more sensitive and therefore more itchy.

I used a lotion type product called "Mothers Friend" while I was pregnant and my daughter used it through her pregnancy's also. It helps the itching and also lessens the stretch marks.

Yes hun, this is normal. Stretching bellies are itchy bellies!!! Any good quality lotion or cream or coco butter will help moisturize and that helps the itchy some.
It's better than puking your guts out, isn't it? LOL!

yes hun, try to put lotion always...or cream which is richer. I work full time so after my morning bath I put cream on my belly and breasts....and I have a nivea extra moiture lotion on my bag so when it itches I go to the restroom and put lotion on my belly. DON'T scratch yourself that will only make stretch marks to appear.

This is perfectly normal, however try not to scratch yourself raw. Try using coca butter lotion or a lotion for extremly dry skin, this will help relieve some of the discomfort. Hope this helps.

Well I itched when I was pregnant and used Calamine lotion!!! It really helps. Also, make sure you use lots of moisturizing lotion, Palmer's is really good. You could also use vitamin E.
