Okay I am 25 weeks pregnant. I noticed this morning I was leaking the yellowish discharge from my breasts, then it went clear. I stopped breastfeeding my first son about 4 months ago when I was about 2 months pregnant. Because my milk dried up because of the pregnancy and poor milk supply.

I looked in what to expect when expecting and all it said was:
Page 267 nine months and counting (looked under leking from breasts)
" The thin, yellowish discharge that some pregnant women can express, or may notice leaking from their breasts, is not milk. It is a premilk called colostrum....Many women, however, don't have any noticeable colostrum until after delivery."
It does not say when it can start.

My question is it normal for my milk to come early? Is it because I was breastfeeding my son a short while ago? And should I be worried?

I will call my OB and ask too. And see if they are concerned or not. But I don't want to worry if I don't have too. I want to find out if it is okay or normal.

Thank you to everyone so far. I didn't start having anything till after my son was born, so I wasn't sure if it was normal.

This is normal. It's more common in second pregnancy and especially since you were recently breastfeeding.

With my second, (who was born 5 years after the first, so LONG after breastfeeding) I started leaking around the same time. I had to wear the breast pads inside my bra the whole time, and at night, otherwise I'd make a nice circle on my shirts. It sucked that it started that early, but at least I knew I'd have a good supply going when the baby came! Oh, well, just one of those things that goes along with the joys of prenancy!

It's perfectly normal. I went through the same thing with my second child. The leaking may stop before you give birth. You're body is just getting ready.

I only breastfed my first child about a month and was leaking with my second many months later. I don't think it has anything to do with you recently weening your son. Kudos to you for breastfeeding! You and your babies will benefit!

Yes this is normal. With my first pregnancy i started leaking around 24 weeks, this pregnancy i started leaking at 7 weeks! that probably is because you recently stopped breastfeeding. Good Luck and congrats

I'm 11 weeks and started leaking at 10 weeks with this pregnancy. So it can start early.
