Somewhere between being of legal age to consent and getting your menopause. That's about as exact as you can get as there are so many contributing factors it really has to be a personal choice. I am 33 and the right age is now for me but I have friends who started at 20 and are my age now with 3 children over the age of ten. It really is down to you.

well looks like everyone else took care of the whole financial and emotional thing so biologically...when you're ready you should try to have kids before you hit your late 30's...as a woman gets older so does her eggs...people in their 20's are at their mental and physical peak... after 30's it's kind of down hill..but EVERY women ages differently, depending on genetics, excercise, etc. This is just generally speaking...but between 23-35, you're eggs will be at their peak. Also, you will lessen the chance of birth and developmental difficulties...but you should go talk to a doctor when you are seriously considering...

I was 20 with my first and had a great time raising her. I had a lot of energy and played with her constantly. We are now best friends. I just had my fourth "surprise" at age 38 and can feel the difference in energy levels. Also I worry that I will be one of the "old" moms when he is a teenager and embarrass him in public. However, I am much wiser, calmer, and better able financially to raise a child.
Having a child changes you permanently. It is a good time when you are ready to share your life with another and commit to it.

I do not believe that there is a good age. Every person is different dreams, different beliefs, and different opinions. I think that people should be in a committed relationship before they even consider having children. Remember that one selfish decision to become a mom is going to effect not only you but at least one other person for the rest of their lives.

After you have reached adulthood, are out of high school, and are in a commited relationship. A marriage is preferable, as your family and friends will most likely be EXTREMELY judgemental and may not help. (I'm not judging; just telling it like it is.)

When you feel ready, you should be able to support the child . I was 21 when I had my first and I am glad I started young, In the next few years my kids will all be off to school which leaves me time to pursuit my career.
