I now realize after just having our second how neurotic we were with our first. We would panic if he made a peep and gave him everything he wanted. I see parents act like that and want to tell them to relax! I think my second one will benefit more from learning to be patient and more disciplined and independent. Does anyone agree and did you experience the same thing?

I reported it to cps and they refuse to investigate it ! cps officials called this type of abuse denial of critical care! how can i get them to investigate, so my son will be able to hear his teachers and have an easier time learning

I'm 12 weeks and 2 days pregnant. I have a follow-up meeting with my OB on Nov 10th, and do plan on talking to her about this, but wanted to get some feedback from Yahoo users...I'm worried because although I feel like my stomach is SLOWLY getting a little bigger, I don't seem to actually be gaining any weight. In fact, if anything I seem to have lost a pound or two.

I don't have a huge appetite, but I snack a lot throughout the day, and am trying to eat healthy - lots of fruits and veggies, limit the sugar and all that good stuff.

I'm worried because I had a miscarriage last year at about 8 or 9 weeks, and I'm just worried that the same thing is going to happen again. I had an ultrasound a few weeks ago and the baby looked fine (was quite active!:o)) but still...I can't help but worry.

Is it normal not to put on any weight in the first three months? And when did you start to "show" and actually put on "baby weight"?

I'd appreciate any comments/experiences....

He is very outgoing and he loves to sing really loves to dance and is active in school and goes to the Boys and Girls club everyday. They had a dance class last night and someone told him to "sit down fat boy" this hurt his feelings and he just sat down the rest of the class. When I fixed dinner later he only at 2 bites of food cause he says he want to lose weight. I dont want him starving himself and I told him he is a lil chunky but he looks just like his dads body and this just may be his body type. I tell him dont let no one take away your joy or deter you from what u love to do. This hurts me alot cause I know hes a good and active kid What should I do as a parent? He is goin to middle school next year will this tauntin get worse? Help + He is my only kid Ive never dealt with this stuff before?

I am 33 weeks and I certainly do not do this intentionally... but I go to sleep surrounded with pillows and sleeping on my side... and yet I still wake up all pillows on the floor and sleeping on my back.. I really have tried numerous things to stop from doing this... but nothing works.
Is it harmful for me or the baby?

Had my baby on Aug. 4th, and was still having bleeding 6 weeks later. So I was prescribed regular birth control pills from Sep 16th to the 27th to help stop the bleeding. I had a period starting on the 26th. I've been nursing my baby this entire time, the doctor said it was fine and safe. I started taking the mini pill on October 8th, and we used condoms from when I stopped the regular pills until a week after I started the mini pills. Now it's been 36 days since the first day of that last period, so I'm 6-8 days late. I normally don't have periods while I nurse and only had one because of the birth control pills. Did I go back to not having periods because of the nursing or am I pregnant? I took a pregnancy test on Oct 27th and first thing this morning and they were both negative.

1/2 Unisom tablet
1-50mg Vitamin B6 tablet
take together at bedtime
If needed Unisom dose may be increased to one whole tablet two times per day with 50 mg of vitamin B6.
Sea-Bands are also available over the counter and may be used in combination with unisom and vitamin B6.

we have a 17 year old daughter who has made many bad choices in her life. we have five other children, three of which are young boys. she is on probation and has been dating a 20 year old boy who we thought was very nice. we felt their relationship was positive but recently found out she was pregnant. we also found out our step daughter who is 15 has been having sex, and we punished her by grounding and have ordered they only date at our home where we can supervise. she, luckily, is not pregnant.

the stepdaughter feels it is unfair we punished her but did not punish the older daughter.

i feel we should confront her and lay out some ground rules on behavior and dating now she is pregnant but my husband feels we shouldn't bother her now she's pregnant and she'll get her rewards when she has the baby and tries to raise it.

i just am looking forward to having a life with my husband some day and not raising another child.

comments?

I am 5 weeks pregnant today and when I woke up my boobs are not as sore as they were last night when I went to bed. They are only a LITTLE tender when I press on the sides of them but the nipples arent sore anymore and they arent as tender as before. I'm scared of miscarrying because of my miscarriage 6 months ago. Is this at all normal and has anyone experienced this?

My daughter is a newborn and my son is almost three. When the newborn is about 6 months we were thinking of putting them in one room - only for a couple of years, if that. The reason is that we only have three bedrooms in our house and would like to be bale to use the third bedroom for guests that visit (grandparents visits expecially).
