Pregnancy & Parenting - 31 October 2006

I know it sounds a bit of a stupid question, but Im trying to work out how many weeks along Ill be on the 29th January. Im going on holiday and need to tell the airline, but my brain just doesn't want to calculate this. It must be hormones or something. I'll be 11 weeks on Thursday!! Help!

I have done so many pregnancy tests and all have come up negative but yet I have missed 2 periods and although had no symptoms my tummy is still slighlty enlarged im really confused as i dont think I am because I have had no symptoms and all the tests have come up negative but could I still be as my tummy is enlarged or is it jus bloatin frm nt avin my period :S :S W.B plzzz xxxx

This is our second child, our first will be a year on Nov 6. This pregnancy however is very hard on me resulting in a strain on the relationship. I am only 9 weeks but just cannot muster the energy to do anything, I feel like I just cannot wake up no matter how much sleep I get. I have extreme mood swings, where one minute I am okay and the next I am freaking about how stressful a new child will be. Don't get me wrong I am excited about this new life. How can I get him to understand that I am doing everything I can to make everyone happy and for him to realize how hard and demanding pregnancy is?
P.S. I just returned to college full time the end of august and recently picked up a part time job (I just quit today due to the strain).

I have a friend who has a 4 year old step son and a 10 month old baby. She is on maternity leave and her man recently got fired from his job. He went to see about another job but has since decided he doesn't want to work there and is trying to get his EI opened (won't get EI because he got fired) but he's trying anyways. My friend always whines about not having any money and she doesn't know how they are going to afford christmas but then she went out and spent $120 on the 4 year olds birthday gifts 2 months before Christmas. I'm really getting tired of listening to her whine because she worked during the potato harvest and blew all that money. Should I say anything to her about it or just listen to her complain? It's not like she didn't know Christmas was coming. It comes the same day every year.

I'm a senior in high school and i'm pregnant with my best friends baby...he has a girlfriend and i feel terrible for making such a stupid mistake and sleeping with my friend, and also being the other women. I always said if something like this happened to me I would keep the baby, but now im not so sure...i'm smart i get A's and i plan to attend college next year, plus i've drank and smoked almost everyweekend since we had sex and im scared that even if i had the baby wouldnt he or she have problems. I dont know what to do i think i def. wanna have an abortion but im scared and i dont know if i should even tell the father, because we've been best friends all of high school, and we never even kissed until that night and i really like him, a lot and i'm afraid if i tell him that im pregnant even though im going to have an abortion he'll become really distant. so basically i need to know...should i have an abortion and if i do should i tell the father

Do you get sharp pains in the vaginal area when you begin to dilate? i am 37 weeks and i have started losing my mucous plug. i won't be checked to see if i've dilated until 38 weeks but i would like to know sooner. i have been having some painful braxton hicks contractions that are keeping me up at night and i have been using the bathroon more frequently throughout the night. could these be signs of labor?

folks,

i have been ttc # 2 for the last 7 mo with no luck. I have tried the usual ovulation predictor kits from the grocery store....they were horrible....they confused me more than anything else. I think i wasted 2 cycles trying to figure out what the $#@ they mean.

anyways one of my friends suggested the clearblue fertility monitor. I was wondering if i could get any thoughts and inputs from yall....before i shell out the $$$. Please inspire me with all your success stories :D

I'm not on any birth control,
but i have a history of OVARIAN CYST, my gynocologist informed me that i'm able to have kids. There are times when i develop ovarian cyst.

I'm trying to get pregant but i guess it's not working, i'm thinking it's because of my ovarian cyst.
My LMP was on Oct. 1 and since then i've been having unprotected sex, lots! And just today i started my period (oct. 31st)
this is sad, what if i'm infertile even if my gynocologist says i'm not.
Could i mistaken this bleeding for implantation? because i know you bleed a little when implantation occurs?.. But then again, i'm certain this is my period because it feels like it.

this is sad!

I've been told that I have an anterior placenta placement. If you've had this, were you on bedrest or was your pregnancy fine? I've heard that the placenta can slide down the farther along that you are, is this true? When were you told about the placement? Where there any complications with your pregnancy due to the placement of the placenta.

I had a c-section with my first child due to my labor not progressing because she was way too big to pass through the birth canal. I really want to have a VBAC. Before I was told about the placement of the placenta my daoctor and I had discussed having a VBAC. My doctors are specialist so they are willing to let me try if my pregnancy was going great. Now I want to know the pros and cons of a VBAC since I found out about the plaement of the placents. I am only 19 weeks and want to find out as much information that I can before I make a decision about having a VBAC now. If you have any great info that may be helpful in making the right decision

My baby is 4 weeks....all she does is sleep. THe doctor says its ok but I don't think so. All she does is sleep, maybe 15 hours a day. She'll wake up to eat and then fall right back asleep. I want to wake her up but then again I don't. During Family pictures she slept through the whole thing. Loud Noises don't even wake her up..... What to do??

my fiance is 24 weeks pregnant and recently she han't been feeling the babies movements as often as she once was, we have been for 3 scans so far and everyone shows the baby kicking and stretching and eveything else has been great too eg heartbeat and spine and stuff. we recently bought a prenatal hearing kit so that we can both listen to the babies heartbeat and it seems fine also we can hear it move about. she says i am worring for nothing and everytime i ask wether or not she has felt it during the day or anything she ends up giving me a mouth full, am i worring for nothing? we were at the doctors a week ago and she tested for heartbeat and it was fine and the doctor says that babies have periods of inactivity, help

She is breast fed and does not sleep during the day at all save for when she is out in pram. We bath her religiously at 8pm feed her then put her down. Generally she falls asleep on shoulder but when we put her down she lets out all sorts of weird 'squeals' and grunts as if has dodgy belly. She does not appear to have any wind. However she does not wake up and cry and usually after 30-40 mins drops off and sleeps for 6-7 hours til about 5am. Then she is fed/changed put down again, more squeals - drops off until around 9:30am. As I say she does not seem in distress but I wondered if any of this sounds familiar?

Ever since the end of September my period/body have been crazy. I have never been on BC and haven't had any unprotected sex, but I did have protected sex in September. The end of September my period came, but it was very short and light-4 days, normally it would be 7 w/ heavy bleeding. I thought nothing of it. Three weeks ago, my period came again, lasting 3 days/ very light. I started to question why I had another light period, but thought it was due to my grandmother dying/stress. A week later I am spotting, for 3 days. I go to the doctor, she does a urine test, comes out negative and says it could be hormonal issues, and schedules me for a pap. I'm like ok, but just to be sure, I take a hpt and it comes up negative, so I rule pregnancy out. But now I am spotting again, so is this a sign of some kind of health problem?

Okay so earlier this summer I had an old man drive by in his black truck, when I went to go report it to the police he stopped coming around, now I am getting these really creepy phone call's (first it started on my house, now they are calling my cell) I DO know it's halloween and mabey someone is playing a MEAN joke but they are calling saying...I am watching you..etc, they call from a blcoked number so when I go to star 69 them it wont come up. Can the phone companies (I have verizon & t-mobile) track down that number from the time they called even tho it is blocked? Any information would be helpfull. Thank's in advance :)

My 4yr old son has a temper problem, whenever he gets seriously mad he halls off and either attacks his sister or if it's me he will actually punch me. I tell him as well as does his Dad "you don't hit, you epecially don't hit girls". He still does it. What can we do to overcome this? I discipline him when he does it, but it hasn't mad an impact yet.

My 2 year old, who has limited vocabulary (like most 2 year olds) has become very mean at his daycare here in the past week. He used to be the sweet one, that his teachers praised, and never caused problems. Here lately, he has been hitting, pulling, and screaming at the other kids. He has been known to try to bite them, and hits them with the toys he has in his hand. The problem the teacher says is that there is this window/glass door that looks out into the parking lot, and he gets very antsy when it's pick-up time, and anyone that gets in his way of "looking out", he is a bully to. There has been no major changes in our home life, he is normally sweet, but another kid in the same daycare (not in the same class) bit him 2-3 weeks ago..... please help. I dont want MY 2 year old to be the bully of the class. All they can do is put him in time-out (so he ends up in time out ALOT) and I try to remind him to be nice, and not hit, but I am sure he forgets by end of day. Help.

I am 15 weeks pregnant. I have cut out smoking, pop, and junk food (well most of it :-) and been drinking more water.But I am having a hard time with that one cup on coffee in the morning. I tryed the last few days to go without and i end up being so tired. Is that that bad, to have that one cup of coffee if I am doing everything else okay? Did anyone else drink coffee and have bad-good results? I am going to the doctor in a couple days, i do plan on asking him, just wanting to hear from other people. thanks for the help!
