I got one after trying for 9 months and 3 months later was pregnant. You have to remember to set it on the first day of your period and to use FMU at the same time every day. but, it does give you a three hour window on each side of the set time. For example, if you get up every weekday morning at 5 and set it for then you have from 2 AM to 8 AM to test. It's imperative that you use the FMU though, you can't forget that. What I would do is pee, get the test strip ready and get it into the monitor, take my shower and when I was done the test would be complete. All I had to do was turn it back on to get the results. After the two months, I knew when my fertile time was coming. That coupled with the fact that I became an expert charter made me aware of the best times to have intercourse.
I defintiely think it's worth the money, however if you can find one on EBay maybe, it would be a bonus.
I hope this helps.

I really liked my clearblue fertility monitor. I had trouble with the OPKs but the monitor gives you either one, two or three bars so there's no confusion. Plus I really liked having the two bars -- "high fertility" which means the monitor is detecting peaking estrogen levels -- that gave me a warning window so we knew when to start having sex more frequently. Two bars was followed by three bars which is peak fertility -- that's when the monitor detects your LH surge which is what the OPKs pick up. The monitor took a lot of the stress out of TTC for me.
Be aware that the monitor may not work for you if you have PCOS and high LH levels throughout your cycle.

It absolutey worked for me! We had been trying for over 7 months, and I finally bought a new one with 30 test sticks on Ebay for half the price. I got pregnant the first month! It takes all the guess work out of it. Turns out I was ovulating an entire WEEK earlier than I thought I was.
They are really easy to read as well. They tell you if you are low, high or peak fertility. Makes it pretty easy to know when to get busy! Good luck to you!

I bought mine on ebay for only $70-80, can't remember exact price. It's not meant for resale, but you can erase the memory using these instructions:
Put a clean test stick with cap on into the monitor WHILE IT IS OFF. Make sure the test stick SNAPS IN. then press and hold the "m" button while turning the monitor on. It will either show a bunch of symbols right away (keep pressing the "m" button,(when symbols go away take finger off "m" button and monitor's memory will be erased) or it will show the "remove test stick" symbol. If it shows this, keep pressing and holding the "m" button for about 20 seconds and THEN the symbols will appear, and everything will be erased.
I forget what website it came from, but that worked for me!!

I am in the same boat, I went to to babycenter.com and clicked on the picture of the monitor and it has over 300 comments by women that have used it, a lot of good and some bad. Hope this will help.
Just went to the site and most of the women claim that they got pregnant the first month using it. It sounds like it's worth it. Keep me posted... s.jason@sbcglobal.net

If you are having trouble with ovulating strips, maybe you should try charting your Basal Body Tempature. It takes time but can be much more accurate if you have regular periods. Good Luck!!

Wal-mart, Target. You may have to drive to the next town, your local stores may not carry then for some reason.
