My daughter is grown now. She is 23. But I remember this all through her years, with Drs and teachers too.. All 'professionals'. Even now when I go to the Dr, I'm treated like I really don't even know my own symptoms. If I can, I stick with Drs that believe me.

That gets so irrritating doesn't it?

My son will be 8 in 2 weeks. He is a perfectionist. For example, he was tracing a picture the other day and was almost in tears because it wasn't looking like the picture. It is a recurring problem - he gets so frustrated when things aren't the way he thinks they should be. It pains me to see him get so worked up over things that should be minor. I have tried being easy-going with him and tell him things don't have to be perfect....just do his best. It falls on deaf ears. Does anyone know of any good resources - books and/or websites?

does it matter what type of water u drink during pregnancy, i know not to drink tap water but is ALL bottles water okay? mine has calcuim chloride, magnesium sulfate, & potassium bicarbonate.

when i give her breakfast she spend more then 3 hours eating 1 egg scramble, i keep asking her if she's done that's when she remember that she was eating, she take a bite and then start talking to the spoon, play with it and when i ask again she will take the next bite, it drive me crazy, she want me to feed her that's the only way she'll eat. but i don't want to feed her because when she go to school who would do it, what should i do?

I am pregnant with my first baby girl (I have 2 boys) and after MONTHS upon MONTHS of going through names, We have finally decided on this one...Now I'm starting to question if maybe it's not TOO unique and unusual..

Lexandriah Danity Dream, Not only do I like the name Lexandriah, But- It has many options with it, She could choose to be called Lexi, Andriah or, I have decided I am going to call her Andi..

Was just wondering what other peoples opinions were! :-)

I would like to have a 2nd child - my daughter is 13 months so she would probably be about 2 when her brother or sister would be born. Sometimes I really want to have another baby and sometimes I feel guilty, like it would be unfair to my daughter because she wouldn't ahve all of the attention she does now. ok so this is my third time being pregnant so i know i should know by now but i can't remember. I always go overboard with my niece, for example, last year I bought about 10 barbies, doll car, house, limo, easy bake oven, clothes, games, barbie shopping mall, smore maker, aand probably other things I cannot think of. I am carazy about her, about her but I go way overboard, she has gifts from 2 years ago she still has not opened.

I live in Florida, and about 8 months out of the year it's almost unbearably hot. I'm born and raised here and yet I've never acclimated to the heat and humidity.

But as I took my 4 year old to school this morning, I was in a better mood than I've been in for months! It was 49 degrees. I had a sweatshirt and jeans on and the cool whip of the wind invigorated me no end - even though both girls had a restless night's sleep (thank you cold and flu season).

I watched my oldest head off to join her class. She was dressed in her usual blue polo and khaki bottoms - but today she wore a white long-sleeved collared shirt underneath the shirt and long pants instead of shorts. I've never seen her in this uniform before - and it struck me that another season has changed. Another first is gone.

Isn't it funny the firsts you can find with your children?

i had two normal periods after i stopped, then nothing until may&june, skipped july, one day of spottig in aug., one day in sept., and one day in oct. i know i'm not pregnant, but we really want another baby, has anyone else experienced this? i had my thyroid checked, and other tests, nothing is physically wrong with us. any success stories? trying to do this naturally, but i may look into clomid.

My 8 year old son has been taking guitar lessons and 10 year old daughter has been taking keyboard lessons for 6 month. Now both of them want to quit - they dont' like to practice. How do I help them to see the value of continuing? All they want to do is watch TV & play w/ friends. Their instructor is fantastic, he's young, in touch w/ the music of today and lets them play what they want - he's learning chords for Green Day & Ozzie songs, she's playing songs she likes too. It's not like they have limited leisure time either, they just seem to always want to be slacking off.

Me and my hubby don't know what to do about him anymore. When he says he's thirsty we tell him "water" because we know he wants juice and he throws himself on the floor and starts screaming at the top of his lungs or says "no" and starts whining. He does this when ever we ask or tell him to do something. He has started this within the past couple of months and we have tried everything to get him to stop. I don't know what esle to do. I have been having cramping on and off for the past week. I went to the ER on Saturday and they did an Ultrasound and did blood work. They said everything looked good. I am still nervous about having a M/C- since I just had one right before this pregnancy. I already have a 2 1/2 yr old but i am terrified to have another m/c!!
