I can understand your concern. I've had 5 miscarriage and I'm now 8 weeks and 4 days, cramping in the first 3 months is normal as long as it isnt unbearable. Just try not to worry to much hun, I know thats easier said than done, but you have to try
Good luck

I was told that when you miscarry or start to the level starts dropping right away...like a switch...2000 at 6 weeks is very good. My sister-in-laws was like down to 100 instantly.
You would need another level to compare...if it is increasing you're ok...if it is getting lower, there's a problem.
The ultrasound is a great sign! If they found a heartbeat and a fetal pole you should be good.
Call your doctor right now and tell him you're scared and you want another test...you won't feel better until you do.
Most women who miscarry go on to have happy and healthy pregnancies......and you've already had a successful pregnancy...all signs point to a good thing!

Actually, 2,000 for hgc is low for six weeks along. Mine was 3,750 at 4.5 weeks along. I would get to your normal doctor as soon as possible anyways, especially with the cramping. Your chances increase the closer you are to a previous miscarriage. Good Luck though!

yeah i know were you are coming from. I had a misscarriage with my first preg. the second time all i could think of was that. Scared to death that i was going to loose my baby. now he is 81/2 mo. old. To be honest with you 1 out 5 women have misscarriages and they can have up to three before actually having a baby. that is what i was told at least by my Dr. but just don't worry too much stress can cause misscarriages too.in your first 3 mo. it is always possible to have a misscarriage. so just take it easy everything will be fine... Good luck!!!

Its normal to have period like cramping during the first few months of pregnancy. Even painful enough to make you want to take medication. Its normal.
If the doctors werent concerned about your HCG levels then you shouldnt worry about it either.
If you end up with discharge that has color THEN you should make haste to the ER, but the cramping is definitly normal.
I miscarried before this pregnancy, but it wasnt quite so fresh in my mind. Just relax and focus on keeping this baby and staying healthy.

Your numbers sound good. 6 weeks you should be able to hear the heartbeat....have you asked your doc to do this? Hearing the heartbeat is a great sign.
I suggest talking to your doc about your fears (which are normal and understandable!) If he/she dismisses them, then I would look for another doc! You need someone supportive.

Try not to worry. If all the indicators are looking good you should be fine. Call and schedule a pre-natal checkup. Good luck and all the best for you and your baby.

Please do not worry. Anyone will tell you it is just the pain in your uterus where it is expanding to accomodate your new baby. THe more you worry, the more you are putting stress on your baby. Your HCG levels are great and as long as they are going up you have no need to worry about anything.
