Wow you sound just like me I had my lil girl in December 04, went on birth control till Aug 05, started trying for baby in November 05, and nothing still to now. My periods are way out of wack, but I am now taking Metfomin, and Clomid. Have you been checked to see if you ovulate? Best of luck to you, we are hoping to get pregnant this month!

Do you know if you are ovulating? I would suggest charting your bbt (basal body temperature). Check out fertilityfriend.com. You can learn how to chart your bbt and chart for free on their web-site. They also have valuable information about signs of ovulation and best time to conceive. This is a good tool, not only for you, but for your OB.

Clomid does stimulate your ovaries to help you ovulate. Hcg injections will also help you ovulate. If you don't ovulate on your own or regularly, then you are wasting valuable time trying to let nature take it's course. I don't mean to sound harsh, I just know from experience that sometimes nature needs a little help. There are so many hormones required to aid in conception. We are fortunate that science has been able to reproduce them, which is what most fertility meds are. I would take advantage of them if needed.

Birth control pills only stay in your system for a day, which is why you have to take one every day to avoid pregnancy, so it has nothing to do with your cycle now. In fact, some women go on the pill for one month to regulate their cycle and they are more likely to ovulate the first month off the pill. I know several women that conceived the first month off the pill.

It took me 13 months to conceive my daughter. I'm in my 6th month ttc again.

Good luck on trying to get on clomid, usually doctors will want you to wait a LONG time. More than likely your b.c. messed you up and clomid will not get you pregnant until you are releasing eggs which there isn't any medicine I am aware of that will do this. You just have to wait until your body gets back on normal schedule. Wish I could be of more help but I am in the same situation and this is what my Gyno told me.

My story is very involved and long.....will spare the details except that I battled infertility for years. (but have 2 kids now!) Sounds like you have secondary infertility. I would see a fertility specialist. Do not waste time with a regular OB - they are great doctors, just not as schooled in infertility issues. Research secondary infertility. Find a fertility specialist asap!!

Irregular periods are normal after coming off depo provera but NOT the pill. Talk to your doctor. You might have fertility issues he/she can help you overcome.

I don't know about your problem, but next time don't use the bc pills. There is no reason you should put any chemical drugs in your system for such things.try the condoms or any other natural contraceptives.
Kisses and good luck

Try to regulate your period with the O Ring...try this for a few months...then stop...see if your periods are more regulated after that..
