I've had a few panic attacks in my life but theyve never been frequent enough for me to be diagnosed with PanicDisorder, or to be given anything more than a 1 time only prescrip for Ativan. Now I'm 5 1/2 months pregnant and this past week I've started having panic attacks at least once a day. I've been having trouble getting to sleep at night (normally in bed by 10 now I don't sleep til 5am) and when I finally do get to sleep I have strange dreams or even nightmares that lead to waking up in a panic. Im terrified of being left alone even sometimes being in a room by myself is scary, and I can't make myself get up to go to the bathroom at night no matter how many lights I turn on or how full my bladder is because I'm afraid something is "going to get me." I feel like a 5 year old who stayed up late to watch a freddy krueger movie...I'm terrified all the time, day & night, and I just don't know what to do.

Has anyone else experienced similar things? How'd you cope? Any suggestions?

I'm really concerned in the big society fad of every behavioral problem being labeled as some sort of "disorder". Kids who used to be active or hyper are ADD or ADHD (or both), someone who has been through a lot is labeled PTSD, a child who used to be called strong-willed is now ODD.... does labelling your child with a DISORDER give him/her the wrong message - that there is something WRONG with them? I think most of these things are very normal and everyday part of life and growing up. Or, worse yet, are these disorders all a tag to excuse ill mannered children and allow them wreck havoc everywhere they go? That isn't a great answer either.... ....any helpful thoughts?

Ok so my son is 4 1/2 months old and I just cant get over the fact that SIDS could happen. I check on him constantly and I even wake up in the middle of the night freaking out that he might not be breathing and I rush into his room to check on him. This is really starting to drive me insane. Please tell me something that will make me feel a little better and a little less crazy when it comes to this!

I am 37 weeks pregnant, the doc. said it was okay for labor now and I have a doc. appointment tomorrow but I am having problems until then. Last time I went to the doc. he said that I was soft, thinning out and my cervix was up close. But not dilated yet. I have been having contractions alot since then but nothing I needed to go the the hospital over. However today, I was having then about 30 min apart or so and I was walking through walmart and started feeling like I was a little wet. Went to the bathroom and there was some discharge. No blood or anything. But it keeps coming every now and then when I was. The walls to my vagina ache so bad and it feels like he is in between my legs, like a bowling ball or something. My contractions are now about 20 min apart but I feel like period symptoms and they are starting to feel a little harder, not much but getting harder def. Has anyone experienced this before going into labor? Is the bad soreness in my vagina normal? Thanks!

Or, what "skills" should the child be capable of before letting her do this all by herself? I mean, it is good as a parent to make sure that your kids know how to get themselves clean, hair is rinsed out, all parts scrubbed, water isn't too hot, etc. Any thoughts?

Okay, so I already cloth diaper and make my 8 month old daughter's baby food. My husband has been away training in the army so we have not had grocery expenses that include him for about four months. We will be relocating (from Iowa to Washington)in December so we are trying to save as much money as possible. Any menu/meal ideas that are inexpensive but still healthy and won't load you up on a bunch of bad carbs(sugars, white flour, etc.)? I love to cook and everything so it won't be a problem to spend more time in the kitchen than I already have to cooking my daughter's food!
Any other frugal household tips such as cleaning solutions, laundry solutions, etc... would be great also. Thanks in advance!!

My son's friend is a terrible driver and has already gotten into a few accidents and has at least 1 speeding ticket -- that I know of! I don't want him driving my son around anymore because I think he's dangerous, but I know my son will flip out when I tell him this. What should I do?

Now at 4 1/2 months he weighs 16.9 lbs and the doc says thats perfect cuz he is 25 inches long and right in his weight range. My daughter is 29 months old and has never had a hair cut. Her hair is pretty thin and curls up just a little on the ends. It looks pretty stringy and getting her to let me brush it is a major ordeal everyday.I know women with toddlers and even pre-schoolers who have never had haircuts and they have long thick beautiful hair.(their parents claim it is due to the lack of cutting) Will my child's hair get thicker if have it cut?

My 17 year old daughter insists on wearing black clothes and dying her hair dark black. Her natural hair color is light brown and she used to dye it bleach blonde up until last year when she came home one day with dark black hair. I tried talking to her but she insists nothing is going on and that she simply just likes this goth-look. Her grades are good and she hasn't seemed to get into trouble, so should I be worried and do you think this is just a phase she's going through?

Me and my girlfriend were having sex for the second time straight that night and when I finished I took it out and the condom slipped off. It wasnt inside of her, it was just hanging there. Do you think this increases the chance of pregnancy? I think the chances are slim since it was the second time and there wasnt alot of sperm. Please Helo!!!
