Well, that is how it was for me. I used to think of it as my warning. It would usually start a day or two after that.

Chances are it could just be a flakey period, this usually happens with hormone imbalance, stress, weight gain/loss or lack of proper nutrition. There are cases of women bleeding around ovulation, or may experience something known as 'break through bleeding', which is mild spotting/cramping at the time the egg implants into the uterine lining. If you suspect there is a chance of pregnancy, it never hurts to take a home pregnancy test to rule it out. Don't hesitate to call and talk to your Gyn if you feel there may be other issues needing to be checked out, or just to give you piece of mind.

It could just be a small flow and normal...if you are talking about menstrual cycles. If you are talking about pregnancy, then see your ob/gyn about spotting.
