Ever since she was born, me and her father share custody but I have her all week and he gets her on the weekends which I think is fair, but my daughter throws a horrible tantrum every time she comes home and says she doesn't want to be with me anymore. It hurts me so much because we have such a loving family at home, she has two brothers here at home. I've talked to him about her fits and he just says that it's his only child and he can't control how much he spoils her. Any ideas on how I can get her to be happy when she returns home?

Well, first of all my best friends are in another country so I don't have any Close friends here. I just became a freshman and started hanging out with these two girls. Today one of em' called me a LOSER and this really hurt me. I could hurt her back by telling her she's a big fat b i t ch, but I didn't (she is heavy). I dont really talk a lot so thats probably why she called me a loser but I really am not a loser. Should I continue hanging out with them at lunch or find some new friends?
I'm not ugly or fat and I don't have a low confidence level its just that being away from my friends changed me.
I'm not like weird or anything but I just cant walk up to someone and talk to them, if your really social could u give me some tips on how to be like this.

I'm just wondering what time a three year old should be in bed. Other parents are telling me that my daughter, who is recently attending preschool, SHOULD BE in bed by 8:00-8:30, but she's typically not in bed and asleep until 9pm.

What's your viewpoint?

I know my son is getting too old for his bottle. I only give it to him with whole milk before nap, and before bed. However, I know I need to start thinking about getting him off his bottle completely. I have the Avent bottle that come with handles and a cup top, and he drinks very well from his sippy cups. My question is basically this: As I give him his bottle before bed, I still sit and rock with him. How should I go about switching over from the bottle to the cup? Should I continue to rock him? Or put him in his crib with his cup and let him fall asleep alone? I'm really confused and need advice?
P.S. I think this will be harder for me than him!

okay, so I've been kinda thinking I was pregnant but not really sure, just a feeling. Today I started bleeding, or so I thought. I had a light stain of blood on my underwear when i woke up this morning. I put on a pad and a few hours later i checked and no blood at all. A few more hours later and still nothing. by twelve hours later nothing, but I have noticed a pink watery substance sometimes when I wipe. The weird thing is I have been lightly cramping for a few days. I know my body and I always only cramp the first day AFTER I start my period not before. The beginning of my period is also always heavy bright red blood. Can anyone explain this to me. What does implantation bleeding look like and would I cramp lightly for two or three days?

ok, i believed i was about 4-5 weeks pregnant. around this time i started getting what felt like was the beginning of my cycle except about a 1/2 week late. i then got really bad menstrual cramps and started bleeding barely any for 1 day, as in it only showed up when i wiped. the next day i woke up and i was bleeding pretty heavy and i also passed a golf ball sized blood clot when i urinated. since then (for about 4 days) ive been fluctuating from light to heavy bleeding and more often then not ive had bigger clots come out when im heavy flow, and small clots, blood, or just regular pee, come out while ive had a lighter flow. ive also been experiencing lower back pain.
im pretty sure i had a miscarriage. with this many symptoms pointing toward a miscarriage is there a possibility im still prego?

I recently canceled my subscription to Hightlights for Children Magazine. Over the years it has included more and more spiritual/religious content. The November issue contained a very detailed description about the celebration of "the day of the dead".
Being a Christian, I object to the introduction of that sort of material to my youngsters (ages 2,6,8,10,12), particularly without a Christian perspective. I could site other examples (including an introduction to Ramadan a few months ago).
I would like to find a magazine for ages 5-12 that is explicitly Christian, with a Christian leaning, or neutral in terms of religion. Any help would be very much appreciated.

I am due to have a baby next month. I am overwhelmed about a lot that needs to get done, so I'm not even thinking straight. What are the most important things to have in order when the baby gets home?

All normal or cause for concern? I'm in my first trimester. I've had a couple miscarriages in the past, none of my pregnancies lasted this long, so i'm really ignorant as to what's going on with my body. I've read alot and done alot of research but the book explainations and how real women explain things are much different. I identify more so with normal, down to earth women like myself. Books and Doctors can scare you sometimes! Please just bear with my ignorance & enlighten me, thank you so much.

I am due to have the baby november 28th. We just had a leak in the kitchen and are in the process of redoing it, I need to move my 2 year old up stairs (new room needs paint and a new rug), I have to repaint the babies room, and I still have to get all of the babies stuff into order (clothes, blankets, etc). Any advise in helping the baby to stay inside longer than the due date? I just want to be able to relax with my new baby and my other two children. Therefore, I have a lot to get done in a month.

When a baby is born, and you pick the name, does it have to have the same last name as a parent, or can you just pick a random last name out of thin air like the first? Like the parents last name is Smith, can the babys last name be Jones? Just because?

My six year old daughter acts like a four year old most of the time. She is continually having temper tantrums and has gotten fixated lately on getting a talking baby doll (which I have told her over and over we are not getting). She is extremely stubborn and wants to get her own way. I don't believe in corporal punishment but do stand my ground with her but still she is unbelievably stubborn and wails like a four year old when life is not going her way. She's been seeing a therapist as she is also going through her mother having left and seeing her irregularly. A psychiatrist has put her on some medication for ADD but she still acts up. I really want for her to start to grow emotionally but it seems as though she wants to be a four year old -- even calling me Dada instead of Daddy sometimes.

Any ideas on what I can do to help her grow emotionally?

Had unprotected 2weeks and 1 day ago on my most fertile day....
the past week i have been rapidly experiencing these symtoms
*Nausated
*Very tender breasts and the nipples are very dark pink/red(blue veins are really prominent over my breasts and nipples)
*Increased saliva (could fill a glass with it all)
*Lower backpain
*Lower adominal cramps had for about 9 days
*Headache (never seems to go full blown it just lingers)
*My tummy feels really heavy today
*Emotional over stupid "i.e who did not win x-factor"
*Clumsy and forgetfullness
*Palpatations (like a fluttering or my heart skips a beat and can sometimes feel it go to my stomach)
*Itchy tingly feet especially when i get into bed.

My period is due on Friday and the only sign i ever have for that is cramps about a day before i am about to start, and slight sore breasts but the blue veins are new to me, could it be pregnancy or my period i know it is very similar but just wonderd if anyone had these signs so early on??
