All normal or cause for concern? I'm in my first trimester. I've had a couple miscarriages in the past, none of my pregnancies lasted this long, so i'm really ignorant as to what's going on with my body. I've read alot and done alot of research but the book explainations and how real women explain things are much different. I identify more so with normal, down to earth women like myself. Books and Doctors can scare you sometimes! Please just bear with my ignorance & enlighten me, thank you so much.

It is according to how far into your pregrnancy you are. It was normal for me to have a period the first 3 months of being pregnanice. Later on there were back pains and pressure as you get futher along. You really should feel free to ask your doctor these questions. Everyone body reacts different if not the doctor talk to their nurse. They would want to reassure you and if something isn't right they will address the issue.

I just had a baby 3 mths ago first off you are not ignorant second usually when a woman gets pregnant her uterus has to grow and when it starts expanding we feel period like cramps with this second pregnancy I experienced alot of these and the doctor says the more pregnancy's you will experience more of these cramps but, if I were you I would still call your Dr. for this will ease your mind and you definitely don't need any stress in any trimester, also what I did to ease these was relaxing and drinking enough fluids and I would take Tylenol but always consult your Dr. your needs might be different don't hesitate to call at any hour that is why there is a Dr on call 24hrs a day for things like this good luck

I believe they are normal reactions. In your first trimester, your body goes through so many changes so quickly to be able to take care of another living being inside of you. I have had one pregnancy...and one miscarriage. I remember the miscarriage...and how bad the pain was. I can honestly understand why you are concerned. I was too with just the one.

First and foremost is is VERY important that you drink tons of water...and get all the vitamins necessary...specially folic acid and iron.

The cramps more than likely (specially if you are small framed) are from your abdoment stretching. You didnt sayin the question how many weeks you were. But that is normal. Your body is just prepping itself. However, if you start to show bleeding I would call your gyny ASAP..
After typing this, I found a link to a message board that might help you :)

Relax and try not to read too much. Sometimes we will read and believe we have certain symptoms, when we don't. Don't be too concerned and stress yourself out, unless there s deep red blood. If you are truly concerned, call your doctor and schedule an appointment. If you feel it is a true emergency, go to the ER. You know your body best!!

You are not ignorant, otherwise you are so bright to expose this question personally. You need to go to the Gynecologist and Obstetrician for further advices.

your probably experiencing the ligaments stretching. But with your history go to the OBGYN. If you have problems with pregnancies then see if he will put you on high risk so you will go see him more often. but be calm and take it easy! don't lift stuff.
