If its an early m/c possibly as soon as you start to bleed. The majority of the time in early m/c I am talking 8 weeks or less your hcg dropped below 5 and that causes the bleeding to start. After that probably not till everything is expelled. My experience 6 weeks-same day, 7 weeks-same day, and at 12 weeks - not til after the d & c. With the 12 weeks loss the baby died at 10 weeks but my body did not m/c, found out from u/s and doc did a hcg test to see if the levels were dropping to indicate I would m/c on my own. When they didnt drop over the weekend I had a d & c. Hope that helps.

I m/c naturally at 8 weeks and the blood test didn't drop below 5 until a little over a week after the baby was expelled. The whole time prior my ob dr kept testing me because he thought I either had an incomplete m/c and I was going to need a d&c or I was pregnant with twins and lost one. I even went so far inbetween the blood test to go ahead and use 2 of the extra dollar store hpts that I had and they came out positive still.

It will usually come out negative during the miscarriage, which the body generally interprets as menstruation.

Are you asking a general question or going through the emotional pain of a miscarriage?

I would say within a week. Its a very hard thing to go through. I hope that you have went to the e.r. or your doctor when that happen cus their are things they have to do and test for. Otherwise I would think right away or in a couple days as long as your body gets back in cycle. Sorry for your loss

Once you stop bleeding is when a home pregnancy test will come out negative. After your done bleeding, is when your uterus is clean of all the blood and hormones that involved the embryo developing.

depending on how far along you were without getting a d/c about 5-7 days after a d/c within 48 hours.

Depends on how pregnant you are at the time of loss, can be immediate, and can take a few weeks -- the HCG is always going up during gestation.
