Pregnancy & Parenting - 5 October 2006

My husband and I are expecting a little girl the end of Dec. and we chose the name Lilyauna Faye. I have found a few meanings for Lily, and Faye, but nothing for the whole name, let alone the Auna part.... If anyone knows the meaning or a site that has the meaning, it would be great if you let me know. i have done several searches and went to several baby name sites, all with no luck.....

I think I may be pregnant, but the two different home tests came up negative. I do think I have some of the symptoms of early pregnancy. I tend to get nauseous and tire out easily. Should I wait another week to take a home test again, or should I just go directly to see a doctor?

I know that my sister is going to get all kinds of baby stuff (clothes, diapers, stuff like that) for her birthday. I want to get her something that doesn't seem like a baby shower gift, but at the same time, I think it would be nice to get her something for new mothers - but something that is for HER, not the baby! Jalen watches ONLY disney movies, every now and then he may watch videos with me...but for the past 4 nights he wakes up and is literally crying like someone is trying to kill him in his sleep!~I don't understand! I pick him up and wake him and when I ask, "jay what's wrong?" he say's "nothing mom" but the next day he did the same thing, my husband picked him up and said, "Jay what's wrong, is the monster chasing you?" Jalen started crying even harder and says, "yes." i don't know what to do, I'm worried and I don't know why he's having bad dreams....

while pregnant? Im about 6 months. I called the doctors office and asked a nurse what type of medication can I take if I have a cold. She told a few. One was Tylenol Cold, but she said it was in some type of powder form. I had my aunt go out and buy me that type. But instead she brought me Tylenol Cough & Sore Throat. And its a liquid. Do you think I would be okay to take this. I really wanna get this cold out of my system. I'm not in a BIG risk if I take this... Am I?

The child didn't get here on his/her own. It took 2 parents. Both parents have an obligation to that child. Every child has a right to support from BOTH parents. One parent should not be able to take away the other parent's support from the child, should they?

My grade 2er has been getting into trouble at school lately. Nothing of a very serious nature, stuff like not listening, disturbing the class, not returning from bathroom breaks cause he stopped to play on the way back to class etc. Like i said, nothing BAD, more annoying. Regardless his teacher and bus driver are finding it annoying so we have to confront it. We talk, explain, give concequences, remove privledges, pray for the best. The next day he does it again. ANY IDEAS!!!!!! Oh yes, and he's charming., and he knows it.

I have tried everything I can think of to alleviate the nausea....pepcid ac, a seaban around my wrist, vitaine b6, ginger, crackers, I am miserable. any one with good advice? Im 12 weeks, and it really only started about 2 weeks ago.

I'm almost 28wks along.....and the baby does normally move frequently like he should and usually very stong!! But sometimes, and for the last couple of days he feels really low down and deep in there and not as strong with his kicks, or as frequently? Is it normal to have variations in his movements like this. Should I feel him more and stronger since he is about 2pnds now, according to what I read. I have been going to doc appts. and everything was fine the last time. 1st pregnancy!!! Thanks!

The past few weeks, I've had this numb, but sharp pain under my right breast. When I asked my doctor about it, she said my baby was probably just pushing on a nerve, but today it's much worse, and if I touch the skin where it's numb, it's very painful. If I press on the numb part, it's fine. My breast lays right on the spot, so it's hard to avoid touching the spot. My due date is today...I don't think that has anything to do with it, but it's VERY painful, and I'm starting to get concerned.
