I'm almost 28wks along.....and the baby does normally move frequently like he should and usually very stong!! But sometimes, and for the last couple of days he feels really low down and deep in there and not as strong with his kicks, or as frequently? Is it normal to have variations in his movements like this. Should I feel him more and stronger since he is about 2pnds now, according to what I read. I have been going to doc appts. and everything was fine the last time. 1st pregnancy!!! Thanks!

Yes, the movements definitly will change. Dont worry too much about it. As long as you are feeling some movements - your baby is most likely okay. I only feel my girl move about once every six hours... I am 34 weeks along and she is still doing great in there. She has been moving less and less since I hit 28 weeks. But, her heart beat is still strong and steady. It all depends on if the baby is facing "out" or "in"... ("in" like toward your back... that can make movement be almost impossible to feel)

If you are feeling uncomfortable or your feeling like the baby is not moving like he usually does then do a couple of kick counts everyday.I was extremely paranoid while i was pregnant because i had a still born and i was so worried to make sure my baby was safe. All you need to do is drink a glass of orange juica and 20 minutes after you drink it lay down on your left side and just relax and put your arm on your belly if you want to ,the point here is that you should feel your baby move 10 times in that next hour.Orange juice within 20 minutes delivers your baby a dose of energy which should make him react. I will tell you for sure that you will not feel your baby's every move.Yeah hes 2 pounds or so but hes got room in there to move around and you will not be able to feel all those kicks. Every once in a while just lay on your left side and poke at him he'll get pissed eventually and give you a little kick. It's normal to worry ,you will spend the next 21 years plus doing so.Good Luck to you.

I'm 28 weeks too! Congrats!!

The movements do change as the baby grows and changes positions. I think I'm giving birth to a future kick boxing champ! There are times I don't feel her move much, but then there are times she seems all over the place. I feel her in different areas; some movements are quick jabs, others are a rubbing sensation.

I'd say as long as you're feeling movement, then all is well. It's when you stop feeling it when you should be concerned.

Also, as the baby gets bigger, she has less room to thrash around.

What you re feeling is not only normal, but your baby is doing as it should. As early as 7 months your baby can drop. It may drop even more as get closer to your due date. You are feeling your baby move less because the little guy is getting larger and running out room! The baby is no longer able to turn summersaults and other gymsastics feats. Hand in there, you don't have too much longer!

Absolutely normal! You are going to feel all sorts of things over the next few months. It is hard to tell what is going on in there, but as he/she takes up more and more space, you will feel more and more. At just 28 weeks, you are likely to feel all sorts of weak to strong movements. By the time you get to full term, there will be times when it feels like they turned a somersault in there or did a cartwheel! Get ready to entertain company by putting a small dish up on your belly and watching it tip and turn about. There will be times when he/she is more quiet and other times more active. It's normal, don't worry one bit about it
