With my first child I took the class during my last trimester. There were a few couples that had there baby before the class was over. I had mine the last week of class and was able to go to the last class and give detail of what it was like and show off my son.

lamaze is usally a 6 week course, you are full term at 37 weeks and can have the baby from anytime then on so around 30 weeks would be a good time.

It is usually sometime in the 3rd trimester. They're 6 weeks long, so you need to see what the schedule is and take the set that will get you through before your due date.
I'm 28 weeks, and we have been to two classes already, but the other two women in the class are due sooner than I am. But based on the teacher's schedule, the next set of classes would be too late for me.

I suggest that you take your classes as close to delivery as possible. The reason that I say this is because all that you learn will still be fresh on your mind and you wont forget what you learned. I would start at 7 months along. Then what you have learned in your class, practice at home. Especially practice your breathing as that is the "key" to labor. Congratulations on your new little life. Good Luck !!!
