My husband and I are expecting a little girl the end of Dec. and we chose the name Lilyauna Faye. I have found a few meanings for Lily, and Faye, but nothing for the whole name, let alone the Auna part.... If anyone knows the meaning or a site that has the meaning, it would be great if you let me know. i have done several searches and went to several baby name sites, all with no luck.....

i would spell it anna but i do not want it to be pronounced incorrectly. auna "spells its self out" per say, so the pronunciation isnt a problem.

First of all, I would think you could go by the name meaning of Lilianna - because they are basically name varitations:

LILY, LILIAN. One of the delicate century-old flower names making a comeback, Lily has both a cool elegance (it is, after all, the symbol of purity) and a slightly offbeat charm — a winning combination. Though it has been used (sometimes with the LILLIE spelling) by several high-profile parents in the last few years — including Kevin Costner, Phil Collins, Jill Clayburgh and David Rabe, Mary Steenburgen and Malcolm McDowell, Amy Madigan and Ed Harris, Kirstie Alley and Parker Stevenson, and Meredith Viera — Lily has managed to stay on the right side of the style street, remaining a contemporary but not overused choice. Lilian, very popular around 1900, still wears a stiff, high-necked collar, but LILIANA (also spelled LILIANNA), the Latinate variant, has panache, as does LILO, a Hawaiian name meaning "generous."

I had the same problem, with my son's middle name Lestat.

It is similar in meaning to Aureola, I believe...... which in simple terms means some type of a ring, aura, or circular form. Like the darker ring of flesh around a woman's nipple, or aural ring around the moon on a misty night. Something along those lines, I imagine. Or as some people believe that a person can have an exceptional aural "ring of energy" or "field of energy" encompassing them. In Christian imagery it is the saintly aura surrounding a Christian believer that is the indwelling source of and sign of The Holy Spirit living inside a believer after accepting Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of their life, typically also called a Halo.
