while pregnant? Im about 6 months. I called the doctors office and asked a nurse what type of medication can I take if I have a cold. She told a few. One was Tylenol Cold, but she said it was in some type of powder form. I had my aunt go out and buy me that type. But instead she brought me Tylenol Cough & Sore Throat. And its a liquid. Do you think I would be okay to take this. I really wanna get this cold out of my system. I'm not in a BIG risk if I take this... Am I?

Both my doc and my pharmacist said the Tylenol Cold meds were ok to take while pregnant. In fact my doc prefered me to try using those before coming in as it wouldn't be a potent as a Rx. So yea, I think you'd be safe. But if in doubt call your doc and/or pharmacist and make sure. You shouldn't need to go in and be seen you can just ask over the phone. HTH

Never hurts to call and check. What the nurse was talking about is Tylenol Cold that's like Theraflu. It's a powder you mix with hot water.

Tylenol (acetominophin) is, of direction, fantastic to soak up case you're pregnant because of the fact the meds dont' pass the placenta. i do no longer think of the chilly meds are authorized nevertheless, sorry. I agree, call a pharmacy to ask for optimistic, yet i could persist with homestead remedies to be risk-free. Gargle with some salt water (yuck, whether it works). Have some organic tea with lemon. Take a warm bathe to assist along with your nasal passages. Saline answer to assist your nostril besides, and of direction huge-unfold tylenol for any aches and pains. good success, you're a good be certain for checking into it.

Honey, I work in pharmacy and I would like to say to you that it is NOT a good idea to take this product. You do not want to take a chance to hurt your baby or you for that matter. Tylenol is ok to take and personally...........let this cold run its course. Drink alot of orange juice........soup........and sleep, sleep, sleep if you can. Now if your Aunt goes out and gets the right medication that the nurse suggested then by all means, take it to feel better. Congratulations on your new little life. Good Luck !!!!

I had a cold when I was pregnant. Sudafed makes me sleepy even when it says non-drowsy. I took a Tylenol when I couldn't stand it anymore but I wouldn't rely on it. My doctor also okayed nasal sprays to open up my nostrils. You have to check with your doctor first. I really relied on chicken noodle soup. I tried to drink orange juice for the Vitamins but the acid made me sick. Good luck!

Don't take it without clearing it with your doctor. SOME Tylenol products are ok to take, and some aren't. Each different product has different ingredients, so i wouldn't take a chance. My OB told me regular Tylenol is ok to take and so is regular Sudafed.

I was told you could take any type of tylenol, sudafed, benadryl and things of similar nature, but they put MG caps on all meds that I took (like 500 mg of tylenol a day)
