Actually it's the opposite. If charting your bbt you may have noticed a slight decrease in temp the day before you ovulated. Once you have ovulated your temp rises .5 to 1 degree and remains high until your next period. If it remains high for 18 days this can be the first sign of pregnancy. Temping did me no good because mine stayed pretty steady all month long.

Temps are lower pre-ovulation and higher post-ovulation,, dropping down when you get your period.

The only thing you can conclude from your temps is your approximate ovulation day.

Some people say that the implantation temp dip and the tri-phasic patterns are myths. Some pregnant women have them and others don't. Some non-pregnant women tink they have tri-phasic temps and see temp dips for implantation.

You can look for a temp dip around implantation time and you can look for a 3rd higher level of temps (tri-phasic) but realize they could mean nothing.

your temp should rise right after ovulation and if your pregnant then they will stay high if not you will have a drop when your period is about to start again
