Pregnancy & Parenting - 2 October 2006

I am 15 weeks pregnant with our third child, however, we moved to a new state, and the closes hospital is about 45 minutes away. So I was wondering how long you labor lasted with your third baby? With my first it was 20 hours, with my second it was 4 hours, but I was induced. I know I'm just 15 weeks and have a while until this matters, but I was just curious. Thanks!

My son will be 5 and 1/2 months by christmas some ideas what to get him and where to shop. THis is my 1st child so kind of clueless on the whole christmas thing. Any help would be wonderful.

i've been off my period for four days...all during it i passed blood clots...now yesterday i started cramping again and spotting a bit...and today the spotting has stopped but the cramping is still there...has anyone had a similar experience? Can you tell me why this might be happening? Could i be pregnant or miscarrying? I really don't want to go to the doctor w/o good reason....

I am wondering what anyones opinion is on the right time to take your child off bottles, all together?

My daughter is on cows milk now, but still needs a bottle at night, its like a comfort to her. She even sometimes takes a bottle through the day and at night!! She is a year and a half.

My midwife told me ages ago that a child should not get up through the night after about 4 months!!

Anyway, my question, is when is the right time, or approx age to take a child away from the bottle and use a cup only... She uses a cup as well. thanx

hi i am 38 weeks and for the past 2 days my tummy has been super tight and so uncomfy. i posted before and was told by everyone that those are BH contractions, i dont feel any pain yet. But i would like to know how long will it take from now to go into labor. Can everyone share thier experience so i can get an idea. My tummy has been constantly tight for 2 days is that an early sign of labor? how long i cant take it anymore. Please help!!

do i start counting 14 days from the first day of my period or 14 days from the last day of my period in order to know the day i ovulate?

I just need sugestions what people think this could be. This is like my hundredth time posting here, but i cant get into a doctor for like another month, so i get people sugestions then look it up online because im really freaking out. Im spotting instead of a period, and i got these really sharp pains on my left side below the hip. I did take a pregnancy test this afternoon about an hour ago, so i can eliminate that, and it did come bk negative. I looked up all these symtoms for differnt things online and nothing fully adds up.

last thur. i took a preg.test to see if i was pregnant cuz i havent gotten my period for sept. but it was negative. Nurse said i i didnt get it by sat sept 30, to retest. should i wait a lil longer to take another one, or do u think im already pregnant? i have gotten my period consistent but sept. i didnt get one...what should i do?

Hello everyone, I need to know all different ways to bring on labor! I am at 38 weeks and SO tired and and getting eager to hold my baby. My mucus plug is gone, and has been gone for about 5 days now. My husband and I have tried walking and intercourse, and I have contractions but their to far apart to go in. My girlfriend is late on her period. We have done 2 pregnancy tests and both have been negative. Her last period came 2 weeks early, and she has taken the morning after pill last month. We are both worried but can we rule pregnancy out? We have dabbled a few times on unprotected, but it only went in a few times and didnt't carry on. Any advise?

I just learned that I am pregnant. My partner and I have been using foam for about 9-10 months, and up to this point it has worked. He was not interested in using condoms. Anyhow, I am pregnant - and the foam apparently failed (we used it EVERY time). Just curious if there are others out there that have a similar scenario with contraceptive foam...

Thanks...and please no pep talks on birth control and pg...I am a grown woman and understand all of that. Just curious about some real experiences.

I am fifteen years old. I have a huge load of homework to do over the weekend. I have friends that I like to hang out with. My father is breathing down my throat about organization, time management, getting all my homework that will be due on Monday and Tuesday. Is this reasonable that my dad expects me to get everything done in one weekend. I can accept getting all my homework done and I really am working on organization and time management. But unless I stay in the house the entire weekend and sacrifice my friendships, by the way this has already started to occur so I have to work hard at keeping my friendships in tact, there is no possible way to get everything done including all the other chores I am required to do. Is this a reasonable thing to ask a fifteen year old to do?
By the way- I happily get my homework done and help out around the house. All I am saying is that I need some down time. To chill out. I can't keep up with everything if I am not.

i know this is insane but i had sex last night, sorry to say it was bareback.. right afterwards i had a strange feeling indie down there nothing that i've felt before, not a gross feeling and not an exhilirating feeling just not normal. now today i am having wierd cramps on my right side where my ovaries are. now could it be something else.. cause i wouldnt think i could feel anything this soon it almost sounds impossible. what do you think

My 11 year old ( 12 in Nov ) wants a cell phone soooooo bad that's all she talks about. She's a good kid, gets strait A's ( 7th grade) does chores, helps with sibligs and makes good choices. I don't want my girls to have a low self-esteem, a bad body image, and poor social skills. I want them to be athletic, popular, and outgoing. Right now they are young 3 1/2 years and under. i just found out that i'm pregrent. i had unprotected sex with my current boyfriend on 9/6 and 9/7 according to my doctor i was ovulating. then i had protected sex using a condom with my ex-boyfriend on 9/12. the condom did not break . it really looks like it's my current boyfriend who is the father.

I got diciplined Plenty as a kid, straight up beat downs for shop lifting, bad grades dispresecting adults if it was wrong.

I got THE BELT. No talking, no time out, no counting to 3. I turned out just fine. It was becasue I knew my dad loved me thou, he wanted what was best for me.
