Hello everyone, I need to know all different ways to bring on labor! I am at 38 weeks and SO tired and and getting eager to hold my baby. My mucus plug is gone, and has been gone for about 5 days now. My husband and I have tried walking and intercourse, and I have contractions but their to far apart to go in. Please help and give me all your ideas. Thank you so much!

warm baths, lower back rubs,it wont help your labor but it will relax you and let mother nature do her thing and make you feel better in the process.

Take 2 advil, advil is a muscle relaxer and causes the uterus to have contractions. Once the contractgions start they won't stop so be prepared. I did this with my third child i was 38 weeks and nothing worked. The doctor even striped my mucus plug which is supposed to work within 24 hours. It was painful and didn't work. But after I took the 2 advil it took like 4 hours and I was in full blown labor.

Walking & sex. Do not rush it though, nothing you do will work unless the baby is ready. you are to stay pg for 40 weeks for a reason. That baby needs to finish cooking. Whatever you do DO NOT take castor oil!!!! It may have supposedly worked for some but it was probably a coincedence. It is not only uncomfortable to have to run to the bathroom constantly but its dangerous for your baby. It can cause the baby to pass meconium(first BM) & if they inhale that during labor it can be deadly. Jsut let nature take its course. I know you feel miserable right now, I've been there, but you will NOT stay pregnant forever. GOod luck & labor vibes

you are not going to like this but you and the baby aren't ready - 40 weeks. It is only two more weeks of your life and then you will never sleep well again...........serious. Once you have a baby you will understand why us mothers say these thing. I know it feel slike forever and that you will never hasve the baby but believe me catch up on sleep and go get a professional prenatal massage and tell them to hit your pressure points. That might help and at least releive some stress.

if its ok with the doctore there are some pressure points in the foot so get a nice foot massage but i may be wrong it may be in the hands. but hell just tell your husband that ur stessed and want a full body massage. just dont lay on your stomach. lol. but i did here castor oil is good. but if its that bad the hospital has stuff to induce labor. just try the massage and keep your doc updated.

Eat black licorice! I'm serious, it's been proven that not only does it bring on labor but it helps the labor to go faster. The record time was like 40 minutes in labor for one woman. BUT never induce labor without consent from your doctor first. Congrats on the little one!

Honestly u should just relax and let nature take its course. My little one is 8 weeks old and sometimes just wish i could have a full nights sleep! U will never get one in a long time once ur baby arrives! Enjoy ur peace and quite while u have it! Congrats and good luck!

Oh I know how you feel!! Just keep doing what you are doing. If walking and intercourse don't bring on labor right away, just keep doing it, they are both good for you! Believe me, you won't be pregnant forever, I know it feels like it! Congratulations! I hope it all goes well!

Well I know someone who went sliding down the stairs. Intercourse is supposed to help.
Don't overdo anything anyway, your baby will arrive in due time and then you'll miss those nights where you could sleep.

Go to your doctor! Don't risk things for the baby by getting impatient at the last minute. I went two weeks over term with my third one. It will happen when the baby is ready for it to happen.

Unless the doctor thinks you might be in danger, she is going to want to let nature do it its own thing.
