But i would like to know how long will it take from now to go into labor. Can everyone share thier experience so i can get an idea. Your baby may be pushing out on the womb, that could be what is making it feel tight.
When real labor starts it will hurt, and won't go away even if you change position. You should be having weekly doctors visits by now, right?
If you are that uncomfortable, call the doctor and see if they can get you in to be checked.
As for when your labor will start, its hard telling. But with my first I had just about the same thing a week before I went into labor!!

I am also 38 weeks prego, and I also have the uncomfy tight belly. I was told the CAN be True Labor Contractions and they might not be. I went to L & D on Friday night and the Doc told me it was possibly beginning labor. Hang in there, and I know exactly what you are going through. I am here looking for different things to induce labor contraction. Good Luck and Congrats!

Sorry babe, there is no way to know when you will go into active labor. I had those hard uncomfortable BH contractions from the time I was 18 weeks with my third child. I know, exhausting. Take it easy, rest all you can before the baby comes!

if it is making you that unconfterble then go to your doctor! you might actully be in the early stages of labor. with my first son everyone also said it was BH but then on day three of my tummy being tight i went into full delivery and had my son in my back seat trying to get to the hosptal, if you are not sure talk to your doctor!

Could be early labor. You should call the doctor right away to be sure.

My experience (3x) was that I was told that I was having contractions that only felt like tightness to me as I was prepping for csection. Good luck, but please call the doctor!

When I was pregnant, I had the same tightning. It lasted about two days and then they started to hurt in the night, I went to the hospital the next morning. It is different for everyone tho. Good luck and congratulations!!

Your baby is proabbly just moved into a weird positon. My belly was really tight like that before I had my son. Taking a warm bath might help.Or get on all fours and relax you back.

Call your doctor - see him or her today and talk to their nurse - if you can't reach them call their answering service. If you are that uncomfortable then go on to the hospital - I went twice when I thought I was in labor and they didn't admit me - just checked me out and I was able to go home and relax. But if you are in doubt and you are due - it's safest for you and the baby to get this checked out! God's blessings to you and your little one!!!
