I'm really looking forward to getting pregnant (which I hope will happen soon!) but the one thing I'm concerned about is what actually happens when your waters break. I've heard that it's just a rush of liquid, but do you get any idea that it's about to happen? Do you have a chance to get to the toilet, or even to the bath?!? Or could it just happen in the queue at Sainsbury's? And if it just happens when you're at home, will it ruin your carpet? I'm sorry if this is a really dense question, but there are things about being pregnant that people just don't tell you about!

this morning i woke up with the rund and severe pressure in my uterus, it hurts that i cant even walk? im going to my docs today at 3pm but what can it be? can it be the babys head? or am i in labor?

Every child finds something annoying to do to a parent. I know because I raised a son. He's 20 now and still finds a way to annoy his Mother. I think it makes his day LOL. What's something or some things that your kids do to annoy you and it seems like they enjoy doing it to make you mad?

I am 18 years old husband he is 21 and we got married after 2 months of knowing dating each other in vegas as a joke. And due to a lot of drinking that same day have a baby on the way. We have been married for month 1/2 still have not told our parents and we had our first big fight recently. I have to keep fighting the urge not to throw a fit and cry?Also sometimes my husband speaks to me as if i were a child?I am worried what kind of a parent i will be i still feel like a child?My husband wants to stay together and see what happens but i am scared?? I really dont want to be pregnant or married!I feel very confused and emotional.

My son is 4 1/2 months old and he weighs 17 pounds, he's big but doesn't have huge fat rolls or anything, he's just big.

He eats 8 to 10 ounces of formula (I was unable to breastfeed) every 3 to 4 hours. We've put him on some foods, like cereal and a little bit of green beans, but it doensn't stop him from eating the same amount. I have a doctor's appointment on Friday, but I thought I would get some mom and dad opinions. I really didn't think much about how much he ate until we were in the hospital for a seziure and the docs were surprised he ate so much...I didn't ask then because I was more concerned with the seizures...he's fine by the way.

He does sleep through the night about 8 or 9 hours.

Our son will be 3 in Dec. He will sit and stand at the potty, just not go. He loves his underwear and we tried to let him have accidents this weekend, thinking he won't like being wet & go in the potty - but this did not happen. Now it seems he's holding it in ...We've waited to start because we recently moved & he was having a problem with constipation. Everything else with this child has been taking things away cold turkey (bottle, pacifier) so we thought the diaper would need to be too. But if he won't go in the potty, what else can you do? Wait??

I am the only girl of 4 children. My mother LOVES her screwed up sons, but hates me.

I am 24 and have made a good life for myself, I was a really good kid and never got into trouble!

She invites me over and then tries to fight with me about stupid stuff (like my brother’s alcoholism, things that happened when I was a kid that she says never happened, my husband and I planning our first child!)

I end up telling her I need to go home because her arguments escalate and she won’t let it go until she wins!

She was verbally abusive to me as a kid, it took a year of counseling to accept that my mother doesn’t treat me with respect or love.

I have come to terms with the fact that she will not change, and although I love her because she is my mother, I do not like her as a person.

I honestly never want to see her face again.

I am a happy person, but when I see her I am miserable and end up leaving her house looking and feeling like the bad guy.

What do I do?

I'm wondering about the mucus, i know i can take my temperature (keep forgetting) and take an expenive test. I know the days that you're supposed to ovulate. My question is about your vaginal discharge.
I know it's not my husband's semen because I get this every month, and it's not his semen. I started getting wetter yesterday, and then today, I'm excreting the normal gush of fluid. My question is, when do you ovulate, is it before or after the major discharge?

This probably seems like a stupid question but I truly need to have it answered. I had Chlamydia twice and worry all the time that it might have scarred my ovaries or something….I’ve had two pap smears since and my cervix seems to be fine but they never actually look internally to check and make sure the tubes and ovaries are fine…..Do I have to go to a fertility specialist to get checked internally or if I voice my concerns to my gynecologist will he check?

I´m pregnant with my first baby and to be honest i am really scared at the prospect of giving birth.... i´ve heard all the horror stories about how painful it is and i dont think i could handle that.... so ive chosen to have an epidural and was wondering could anyone tell me do you still feel pain or not?...

And for anyone whos thinking of lecturing me on why i should´nt have an epidural and should instead have a natural birth... save it... theres no way im going through that pain and trauma when i dont have to.

My 2 year old son I've tryed everything in the book from time out to spanking to disipline him but i still get the snot kicked out of me and he tells me No alot. He has been this way since his brother died last year and i feel that i am running out of answers. its come to the point that when i disipline him he has started biting me. now i also haqve another baby on the way and it seems to be getting worse. He does fine when my husband is home nut the minute i get him alone it goes right back to the same behavior. I am just about to the end of my rope trying to figure out a way to disipline him that works.

How do I teach my little boy how to pee at the urinal in nursery? The handbook (from his school) says that as there is only 1 loo in a cubical, the boys must use the urinal.
I havent a clue how to teach him.
If anyone can help please explain it to me as im a girl! (obviously).
I was hoping that his mates / peer pressure would help but he is Very reluctant to try new things unless I convince him to.

a good friend of mine is just a terrible, terrible mother. she only feeds her child fast food for dinner and only gives her soda and juice to drink. she also never takes this poor 3 yr old girl to the park. she plants her in front of the tv all day and when ever the girl wants something she says "leave me alone"! then she can't understand why the girl is out of control when she takes her places! they smoke cigarettes all day in the small apt and in the car with the little girl. Should i say something or mind my business?

My 3 year old son seems to be very dependant. I know I might baby him. He does not like going to the bathroom by himself, he always wants someone in there with him. He does not dress himself at all he can undress himself most of the time. We also have problems with his eating but I know that might just be a phase. But how do I help my son become more independant

I am currently 4 weeks and a few days pregnant, and when I went into the doctors today, the test came out negative, which all the others have come out positive... what I am wondering is, could it be because I am peeing every 15 minutes, and the urine is pretty well crystal clear, that is why it was negative today.
The doc said it is probable that is what happened, and sent me in for a blood test, but I just thought that was REALLY weird, never had it happen to be before with my daughter.

I have heard that some women get their period when they are pregnant but was wondering if it was the “real deal” or if it was questionable. If you did get your period during pregnancy, was it on time? Did you experience cramping and/or bloating? Did it last as long as your normal cycle? How did you finally find out you were pregnant?
