Far from the human race becoming extinct, the population would thrive. The only difference would be that men would not make such a song and dance about being pregnant and giving birth, but would just get on with it and get through the pain. Our more logical minds would also be able to cope better with the monthly cycle and not get our knickers in a twist over nothing just because it is the wrong time of the month.

Personally, I'd quite like to experience life as a woman, with menstruation, child-bearing, blaming everything on men, etc. In fact, I seriously considered having a sex change. In the end it was the prospect of having half my brain removed that put me off.

This is a question asked by many over the years. I believe that men should be given a break on this one. If they had the feelings that women did then why would they only have one child. Most fathers love there children and we need 2 give them a break. It's hard for us giving birth, however lets put our self in their shoe's watching the women you love go through so much pain and their is nothing you can do for her other than watch. My partner felt like this and at the time I didn't care as I was in labour, but after I understood. They are helpless and if it was the other way would us women feel the same. However saying all this I don't think men could cope with having a period.

Why all the whining about child birth. Us men only have your womens word for it that it is so painfull, yet you usually do it more than once. And if all you women have such a high pain threshold compared to men then why is it such a disaster if if a woman breaks a nail yet a man will hit his thumb with a hammer and only curse for a minute or two. And imagine girls, if men could give birth then we would be able to stay home all day watching daytime TV, have a few affairs in the sound knowledge that if we get caught we will be set up for life with tax credits and child support, plus a house given to us etc etc. So stop your belly aching youve got it sewn up. And as For Honeys answer, us men have to deal with menstruation every damn month thanks to you lot, ask any husband or boyfriend. "men couldn't deal with menstruation " what a crock.

Sorry but Idont agree with trainman, women dont make a song and dance about being pregnant its the people around them that make the pregnancy difficult, being pregnant myself I now find myself restricted as to what I can do. Work has become alot more easier as people say I shouldnt do things but I feel useless just standing there so I have just carried on as normal after all I am only pregnant not ill. Ohh and pregnancy is the hardest thing I'll ever do in my life, sh.itting a melon so to speak isnt the best feeling in the world and pregnancy can kill any women regardless of the medical science we are presented with in this day and age, excesive blood loss kills lots of women and pregnant women are also treated like retards by the people we trust the most, doctors, midwifes and partners.

If this is a question, I imagine it goes WHAT IF MEN WERE WOMEN? What if men could experience all of the "joys" that women can like having a baby, a menstrual cycle, etc.? Okay, to answer your "sort-of" question, I think that men would lose their minds! I think that men are physically stronger in most cases but a woman is mentally stronger than a man. A woman can handle a lot more than a man can when it comes to the mental aspect. Just my opinion.

"Where would the foetus gestate? In a box?" - from Life of Brian

I don't think this would work at all as if men had ovaries in their scrotums and women had internal testes then the internal body temparture would prevent sperm production and therefore conception would be impossible.
This would not work at all. In order to become possible men and women would need to swap their entire reproductive anatomies over and essentially men would become women and women would become men thus nothing would change for the population as a whole.

If we switched around our reproductive systems then we'd all switch genders. See, if men had a female reproductive system, then they'd have estrogen, and that would make them turn into a woman and lose all male characteristics.

If a woman had a male reproductive system, then it'd be the same, but the other away around.

So.. to say if men were to give birth.. is a really confusing statement to me because it makes no sense. The reproductive system is what makes a male a man... and a female a woman.

That would be awful! In the old days men had to risk their lives fighting wars, so thing were a bit more equal. But now women get a bad deal compared to men.

Well the population would soon die out for sure, as men could not stand the pain of giving birth
