I am 15 weeks pregnant with our third child, however, we moved to a new state, and the closes hospital is about 45 minutes away. So I was wondering how long you labor lasted with your third baby? With my first it was 20 hours, with my second it was 4 hours, but I was induced. I know I'm just 15 weeks and have a while until this matters, but I was just curious. Thanks!

My 3rd is now 8 months old. I was in labour with my 1st for 24 hours, 2nd 6 hours and 3rd 5 hours. I was in the same situation. I had just moved and was 45 min. away from the hospital. All I could hope was that I did not go into labour during rush hour....of course I did. I still made it in plenty of time. The good thing is that by the 3rd you can tell when it's the real thing. Good luck I'm sure you'll do just fine.

I expected to have a super short labor with my third since my first was 24 hours and my second was only 6. But after like 9 hours of labor with my third I asked the delivery nurse what was up. She said it was a 2nd baby fluke. I guess a lot of 2nd babies can come pretty quick and it won't happen again with the third. I ended up being in labor for 11 hours with the third. I guess I'm trying to give you hope that you won't have your 3rd too quick to make it to the hospital, but unfortunately every baby is different as is every lady, every pregnancy and every delivery.

holy crap where do you live? I helped in the birth of a third child. It was a very tiny 19 year old woman. She had come in at 1 or 2 in the morning with labor pains. We broke her water around 9 and started waiting. We ended up giving her pitocin and an epidural while working her cervix to try to get it up to 10 cm because it popped back down to 8 after trying to push. She finally delivered around 12 or 1. I think it all depends on the baby and the mother's body type. It could probably be much shorter or much longer than expected.

It all depends on you and the baby you can never predict when a child is going to come out. I knew a lady that each of her pregnancy's were 45 minutes long and mine were first 6 hour and second was 30 minutes and the third one was 1 hour. So really you can never tell. They come when they want to.

I have three children and a 4th on the way and from my experiences all my labor was different every time. Some are longer then others... I am 32 weeks now and I am hoping that my labor goes well.
