Pregnancy & Parenting - 1 October 2006

My fiance has 2 kids one is 14 and 1 is 5 and I get along great with the 14 year old but the 5 year old never listens to me and he is rude to me and my children and he tries to tear up all of my kid's things but we only get him every two weeks and I don't want to be mean to him but I think I deserve some respect and so do my kids,oh,and everytime he is around and his dad shows me some attention,no matter what he is doing he always butts into the middle of us and as soon as his dad goes away from me then he goes back to whatever he was doing,what do I do?

I am a new mom with no prior experience or help other than my husband.
I know the basics of childcare changing a diaper, feeding a baby, etc but thats it. How do I know if I am feeding my baby too much? What can I do to entertain my child or bond with her? Is there a certain age when the baby can play with toys or rattlers? Please help! I feel like I am not doing enough with her or that I should be something that Im not. I hate asking in fear of being laughed at but its driving me crazy not knowing.

I have so many problems getting my 10yr old daughter to sit down when we get home and do her homework. She argues and procrastinates so much. She is an above average student and does well in school. It's when we get home that she loses focus and doesn't want to do homework and wants to argue and fight. Please help!!!

After I have my baby where does the umbilical cord go on the mothers side? At what stage do I find out if babys ok? (I'm 10 weeks now and not yet been checked out) Is it still safe now to ahem snuggle ;-)

Serious question!
When walking my son home from nursery the other week he needed a wee, he did this by standing by a tree, his pants (& boxers) down + went.
My friend said that this is wrong & he will get laughed at at school if he uses the urinal like this?
What should I teach him (how should he go outside & in school?)

I just staerted my 13th week of pregnancy. I have had 5 children, so this seems silly to ask. I keep reading that usually you show sooner with consecutive pregnancies, but I have literally no belly. Everyone seems to make such a big deal of this, and though I know the baby is fine and all, it is sort of getting to bother me. I am still able to wear my little size 3 mid rise jeans, and could very well wear a swimsuit and you'd never know. I have gained about 1 pound....not much, but I am eating 3 meals a day and snacks too. Is it really that big of a deal? Anyone else with this...um.... *problem*...LOL!!! I kind of WANT a belly, yet...should I really even HAVE one yet? My doctor doesn't seem concerned. Any shared experience would be nice...
(Oh..my prior pregnancies were the same way, so this isn't unusual for me. Don't really show much until maybe the 7th month.)

I'm going to the University of Portland's woman soccer game today and my boyfriend is coming along with my dad sibilings and me. Just a little bit ago my dad turned around and said to make sure that he is paying to himself to get in... My dad is not filthy rich but he's pretty well-off... tickets are like 7 dollars and i just think its rude that he's making him pay for it when he's our guest... he also did this when we went out to lunch one day and made him pay for his own food... i just think its rude to have him do that... my boyfriend can easily afford it but idk i just find it embarrassing that he's being so cheap... what do you think about this?

After ovulation, does it go up the closer you get to your expected period? Or does it go down? If you're pregnant, do you even see a change in temp?
My other Q is:
Ok, if you're not PG, how many days past ovulatin is your temp sopossed to be up. For instance: I ovulated 11 days ago, my temp went up 1.2 degreees after egg was released. It has been increasing every day up until three days ago, and now it's just staying high (highest it's been all month by over a degree). Is this more than likely pregnant or not pregnant? thanks so much girls!!!

Please dont take offense. But it just seems that kids these days are selfish brats! Example...my mom has sent birthday gifts...halloween gifts....christmas gifts...bags of candy..and coloring books to her grandchildren who live in another state. They dont care. They dont even acknowledget they get them.

We live in a rural setting, my son (who is 3) has been potty trained for a while now & always lets us know when we are in the house, but if we go for a walk in the nearby woods / park ect.. he stands still & wets his pants.
He will also wet himself on a long car journey too.
I get him to go before we leave the house but if we are out a while he wets himself, I dont want to put him back in pull ups as he may regress.
Please help.
