You poor thing, i know exactly how you feel. I had an emergency c-section, and when i tried to sit up for the first time, it was a burning stinging cutting open sensation. i was too afraid to stand up because i felt like my wound was going to open and all my insides would spill onto the floor! (Sorry, i know its gross, but that's how it felt.) it turned out my cut was slightly infected. this may be the case with you, so see a doctor to be sure. it took me about 2-3 weeks to walk properly, nevermind quickly! it was awful. i couldn't even shower without help for the first week! the midwives in hospital reccommended taking 2 paracetemol and 1 ibuprofen, sometimes this wasn't enough though, but try and avoid products with codeine (Panadeien, nurofen plus etc). codeien isn't good for the milk, if you're breastfeeding. if bottle feeding, i say go for it, you have to look after yourself as well. if nothing seems to help, go to the doctor, they know more than me.

I had a c-section in 1998 and the hospital wouldnt release me until i was up and walking around. I think after about 3 days they started having me walk. But once i got home i layed on the couch for about 2 weeks. It sucked.

It took me a week and a half until i stopped walking all humped over. I bleed for the entire 6 weeks.
It is the worst pain ever that when you do take pain pills it dosen't help.
But walking around will help get that soreness out of you so walk when you can.
Good luck and congrats

It took me a about 10wks. to recover completely from my c-section. Although my cousin took about 2wks. Talk to your doctor about the pulling sensation, it could be something serious. In the meantime, try wearing support panties or put an ace bandage (lightly) around your stomach when you have to walk. How long has it been since the c-section?

About 2 weeks. My back killed me because I had to hunch over to walk because my incision hurt. Don't worry- you'll soon be pain-free. Congratulations on the new addition!!

It takes about 2-3 weeks to be 'normal' but you still need to take it easy.

Hope you get to feeling better! :)
