I'm 11

I took my prenatal vitamins for 6 months before we conceived and then still religiously up until about a month. I'm 11 weeks pregnant and for the last month I haven't been taking them regularly as not only have I been really sick, but they make me feel worse. I try to force myself to take them every second or third day as I don't want my baby to suffer. Is it a big deal if I can't take them every day? The minute I'm feeling better, of course, I'll start taking them again.

I really don't think that he needs it. He just barely turned five and he is in kindergarden. I think it is to soon for his teacher to make that determination. I mean this is his first year of school. I think his teacher might just be a little lazy, but she is putting alot of pressure on me to do this. What should I do?

By Taking and paying for a DNA paternity test shortly after child birth, legally is it considered a paternity acknowledgment? In the eyes of the court. I know there is a form called Paternity Acknowledgment but is the test good enough?

First-time mom here :-)...My daughter will be four months old in a week or so, and she still doesn't really bat her hands at toys that are suspended over her. We give her playtime on her little play gym mat, and I've hung a small shaker toy over her carseat (don't worry; not long enough to be dangerous!), but all she does is stare at them. Her 4-month checkup is about a week away, so I'll ask her doctor about it then, but in the meantime I thought I might gather some info from other parents out there regarding this. Should I be at all worried, or is this just another example of how every baby develops at his/her own rate? Thanks!

My son is now in the 3rd grade. He recieves checks everyday for talking....talking and more talking!! His grades are perfect, but the teacher said that his talking is getting in the way of his education. I have grounded him from his precious playstaion... spanked him, made him stay in his room and read, and made his stay outside afterschool and pull weeds, or other outside work. BUT NOTHING HAS HELPED!! I hate to be so hard on him, because his grades are A & B's but Im up for any suggestions.

This morning, as we were leaving for school, the dog slipped out. Now, I can't let him run loose, because he's a Pit Bull, and even though *I* know he just a big puddle of love, in general people are afraid of him. So, I told the kids to stay put (they're usually very good about listening, unusually so for their ages) and ran after him. When I got back, my older child was gone... and my younger said she didn't want to be late for school. All the way to school, no sign. Luckily she had made it no problem, but for awhile I about died.

I have PCOS. We have been ttc consistantly for 1 yr. My periods are irregular except when I am taking Metformin. I have been taking it now for 2 months. My LMP was 8/25 and lasted 3 days. I ovulated 9/7. I had brownish mucous spotting from 9/16 to 9/19(not very much). My period is now 4 days late. Could this have been implantation bleeding? Could I be pregnant? Has anyone else experienced this and been pregnant? When should I test? I'm so afraid to get a BFN so I have been putting off testing. Maybe if someone else has gone through this it would encourage me to test. Thanks for the help and baby dust to all!

To not stop until homework is finished. He/she ate when they got home. They decide about 3/4 hr in to break 4 ice cream. You mention the agreement but aren’t hard-nosed no prob. After the ice cream he/she announces that they're going to iron a certain outfit to wear to school. You say that the outfit is due to go for alterations, reminding them that this was discussed in detail. He/she gets an attitude and announces that they WILL go iron the outfit and will wear it. 20 minutes later they return and impatiently announce “I’m finished. Come and finish my homework with me.” Do you go do the homework and mention nothing of what just occurred? I mean the kid is doing homework and ironing their clothes…how can you be angry? State that while they were doing as they were NOT told you got busy with something else and will tell them when YOU are ready not vice versa or something else? Father says "No family/couples counseling and don't call me about my kids." Mother out of the USA. Input?

Me and my husband have 3 children (2 girls and a boy). We've worked out schedules at the hospital so 3 days a week I'm there in the mornings, and my husband is there 2 other days with them. (we have sundays off) So anyways, my husband has been really stressed these last few weeks as our oldest, Hollace who is 3, hasn't been listening to him. She'll ignore him when he tries to get her to get ready, she won't eat breakfast and she won't get in the car when he takes the kids to preschool. She's perfect when I'm around, though. What should I do?

am 16 years old, 5'1", 100 pounds and am described as a "mini-model" at school. Yet, I DO want to play rugby and since there is only ONE team, it has to be with the boys.
Most of my friends think it's suicide. I'm actually interested in a new sport.
I know the basics like, 80 minutes non-stop with no subs and there are the frontliners and the backliners, no "side-arm tackles", no blocking and you can only tackle the ball holder. (pretty good eh?)
So I'm fast and can tackle...but I'm $hit scared!
SO PLEASE! IN DEPTH EXPLANIATION OF THE GAME AND TIPS TO SURVIVE ARE WELCOME!!
Thanks

What's a good baby shower gift for a woman who already has a child of the same sex that is not too much older and has undoubtedly saved all the stuff? I'm sure this baby shower is more of just a fun celebration for friends and she's not registered anywhere, so what would be something fun and not too over the top?
