I have a friend who's daughter is 5yrs. old and my daughter is 15mos. old. Well her daughter is constintly picking her my daughter up and she does not like it and begins to fuss. I've told her not to but she continues to do so. Should I always come to my daughter when she fusses and rescue her.

Yes, you go to her rescue is she is not comfortable. If you have told 5 yr. old time and again to stop and does not, then it's time for a talk with her mom.

Peace.

I would...tell the kid your daughter is scared when she picks her up...maybe if she has a reason she'd understand better? Also, try giving her an alternative, since she seems to want to interact with the baby, like pulling her in a wagon, pushing her in a stroller, or something like that they could both enjoy.

Yes, and I would also ask the 5yr old not to do it anymore. If that didn't work, then I would talk to my friend. She is too young to be holding a child of that age.

I would give her a smack.

When i was a kid, i used to get a few smacks...didn't ruin my life either.
