Pregnancy & Parenting - 24 September 2006

I love my kids and would do anything for them but now feel I need to regain my self worth and re-establish my career. I have been given an opportunity that means I would still be here for them after school 4 out of 5 days. I am worried that my youngest is just starting nursery and will feel abandoned. Don't know what to do

I'm doing everything I possibly can. Pumping after each nursing session, taking Reglan, working with a lactation consultant, etc.

I am at the end of my pregnancy and I took some castor oil. I was so happy because I started having labor pains and they were coming every 3 minutes the doctor told me to go in. My cervix was thick as hell and I hadn't dilated. I stayed at the hospital for 3 hours and nothing happened. They gave me IV fluids for dehydration. My contractions continued but stopped this morning. I guess I can't get him here. No other suggestions. I am so uncomfortable

I'm simply curious, and this is not meant to be in judgement. hopefully it'll shed some light on the reality of teen parenting to some of the teens that read this. I'm hoping that teen parents or former teen parents will answer these questions. There is no right answer, of course!

I found out i was pregnant with number 2! I'm really excited. And I found out that I was due in late May but is there any way to know what your having before hand? Like conceiving in this month will be a boy, etc.

I have three children, now expecting #4. My husband hasn't said a word, other then get the insurance tooken care of. I am now 7 weeks along, he hasn't even asked when I'll be due. He is totally astanged himself from me. I know he stressed, financially we are okay. How long does it take for a guy to come around. I feel totally alone in this. This was an unexpected pregnancy. And our method of b/c failed.
I just want everything to be okay. And it's clearly not. Help.
( he never acted like this with the pregnancy announcments before, he always swung me around and kissed my stomach with joy. )

My sister is due to give birth in a few weeks and whilst me and my husband are buying her something, i wanted to put together a gift pack of 'essentials' too, like baby wipes, nappy cream, baby lotion etc.
Just wondered if any experienced parents out there had ideas for they needed/ran out of quickly/wished someone had got them (or they had got themselves!) when the baby was born? Thanks.

i m 19 .whn i was 18 i had s3x wid my bf..3 months later i came 2 know tht i was pregnant...when i told this to my bf he supported me well....but it was impossible to have a child b4 marriage coz i live in an arab country where abortion as well as pregnancy b4 marriage was considered illegal....so i took some pills by which the following thing happened....loads of water started rushing out....then baby came out n then loads n loads of blood which contiued till 15 days....it all happened at my friends place...in all this process n even after tht i never saw a doctor....its been a year now n since my miscarriage my periods r not normal....now my question is.....are there any chances for me to get pregnant again?....i usually feel pain in my lower abdomen, y is tht?
let me tell u guys tht i cant see a doctor coz if they come 2 know i will be in prison n will have to suffer 80 slashes...
i have been through a lot so plz dont hurt me...plzz

I had bleeding for 4 weeks after the delivery with just spotting in 4th week. My bleeding (not very heavy) has started in the 6th week again. The color of the blood is red and not brown. Is this regular period cycle? I don't have any pain.

I am 20 weeks pregnant, and am a little concerned about movement.. Last week, I really felt a lot of baby movement... However, for the past few days, it has really slowed down.. Is it too soon to start worrying about this? I know that most books I've read say that you should start counting fetal kicks after 28 weeks.. I can't help but feel concerned... Anyone in the same boat, that can offer some advice?

I went for a scan on friday i am 11 weeks and 2 days but they would not give me a scan photo, ive had 5 miscarriages but they said they wont give me a pic incase i loose this one.. is there still a chance i can loose it after 12 weeks. there is problems with the lining of my uterus?

have M/C in 5/3/2006 no DNC i got pregnant naturally.i have 2 kids from previous.i am 40+ dr advised me try adter 2 month of m/c.i tok clomid in july and also profasi inj and my eggs was good 2.8 but i didnt concieve.in agaust i didnt take clomid dr did my ultra sound and told me i have many but small eggs in both ovries i have no money for ultra sound every month.please help me if i took clomid what should i do with out ultra sound any body can help plz.my husbend has no baby i want a baby

I've read that after intercourse, you should lay down with a pillow under your hips, to 'help' the sperm in order to get pregnant. Personally, I don't really think it helps at all - a) sperm are made to be good swimmers and b) think of how many people probably get pregnant in the back of a car in a rush, etc. What do you think?
