Yes, there is a possibility of you still losing it. Many places are being cautious, due to malpractice suits. So I am not surprised to her that they won't give you a pic.

Unfortunately it is possible to miscarry the whole way through pregnancy. As for the scan I can only speak from the experience of my wife and I. We had the first scan at 10 weeks as my wife had miscarried before. At 14 weeks we had a second scan and received the photos both times. It may be specific hospital policy but at our hospital my wife can attend every Tuesday if she likes and have a scan between certain times in the morning.
My wife is now expecting in 7 weeks time after 2 miscarriages.
I hope all goes well for you too.

Some ultrasonographers/radiologists have stopped giving photos - but particularly video of pregnancy scans because of the risk of being sued. The risk is perceived that if you have a problem with the baby after birth then go back and find some evidence of the abnormality on the ultrasound pictures that it would increase your likelihood of sueing them. The risk of a miscarriage is normally much lower after 12 weeks. I hope all is fine - talk to your midwife or doctor that knows you and your history for some real reassurance.

I think that its really awful that they didnt give you a copy of your babys photo, Thats really unethical. Im sorry they did that to you !
Unfortunatly babies can be lost at any stage of pregnancy. If there is a heartbeat at 8 weeks, there is a 90% chance that baby has and will survive from an abnormality in development perspective, but many conditions can still arise in the mother or placenta that can jeopardise baby. If you have obstetric conditions and your pregnancy is high risk its really important to take things easy, look after yourself and get the BEST antenatal care that money can buy. Even with medical problems and your previous history there is every chance that you will have a healthy baby with the right care and vigilance.
Fingers crossed for you :-)

Some hospitals have a policy of not giving out scan photos. It may be the case in your hospital. What a horrible thing to say though! You can pay to have a private scan and you'll get all the pictures you want, including 4d if you want one!

You always have a chance of losing a baby even at 40 weeks or delivery, not sure why they wouldn't let you have a pic. How have you handled the other miscarriages? Maybe they were looking out for you.

The doctors probably don't want to get your hopes up. It is possible to miscarry after 12 weeks, but you've got this far, so who knows?
I'm sorry to hear that you've had five miscarriages, I hope that this time around comes out positive for you and that you have a healthy baby.

It is still possible to have a miscarriage after 12 weeks--but the risk does significantly decrease after that time.

Some people were just not cut out for bearing children, the hospitals know this and probably don't want to get your hopes up, but it's still their duty to preserve life (however futile the money and effort expenditure may turn out to be).
Very best of luck with it all though, hope you make it this time!

As sad as it is too tell you yes there is always a risk even during labor. I cant see why they wont give you a picture that's kind cruel if you ask me. Stay positive and best wishes to you
