I struggle with assisting but feel I am being railroaded because of this reality. I often overindulged as youngster because dad was a crappy one and I felt sad over divorce and child's pain.

Now I get the guilt trip if I do not give in. I see this getting to point of child having to leave to "get" that life is hard. but where to go? any ideas

My fiance and I have 2 children already and we're discussing a third in a few years. Anyways, he says he doesn't want another child and I do. The thing I don't get is some comments he makes frequently. Yesterday, he asked our oldest daughter if she wanted a little brother. A few months ago we weretalking about breastfeeding and I said that if we had another baby, I wanted to breastfeed because I was unable to with our first 2 children. He told me that whenever we have a boy that the boy would be breastfed. Another comment was that it would be funny that when we had a boy, he would probably look just like me since our daughters are the spitting image of him. Is it just me or does it seem like he's leaning into a yes on the other baby? If not wouldn't he be saying "if" and not "when?"

My daughter is 10 and in 5th grade. She has always brought home honor roll. This year her first progress report was 2 d's one F and 3 A's. I grounded her from phone, TV, and no friends over until her grades go up. She is in Cheerleading and Girl Scouts and I let her participate because the team depends on her (if her report card is the same she will be pulled from the team). She cried and was very disappointed in herself but says 5th grade is just hard. It shouldn't be hard if she grasped 4th grade as well as her grades showed she did. Am I beeing to hard on her?

Suggestions on when it's a good time to say good bye to the binky and how do I go about it doing it? My son is two and mostly uses it at bedtime, but sometimes during the day as well. At what age did your children say goodbye to there's?

My sister has been trying to conceive for years without success, this has been very difficult for her. I recently had an ectopic pregnancy which I told her about. She could not believe I told her in light of her circumstances and stated not to tell if I ever was as she knew my hub and I were trying. I've recently moved closer to where she lives and she is very excited at the fact we'll get a chance to see each other more only now I'm pregnant and find myself feeling a little guilty about it. She's coming to visit next month and I'm still not showing and I'm going the following month but it will be hard to hide. I really don't want to lose my sister but fear her reaction will be to pull back, does anyone have any suggestions, she's the only sister I have?

I get my period more if I am sexually active, though. I've been to several doctors and they have no idea what is wrong with me.

I have found thatr the three's are far worse than the two's. The two's I can handle. The three's are making me crazy. She does whatever she wants, no matter how much I protest. I feel like I am loosing control of her and I don't know how to stop it. She throws things and hits her little sister. She is constantly bouncing off the walls. But she is only like this with me. She is an angel when her dad is home and she is an angel when she is with my parents. Is anyone else going through this with their three year olds? Could it be because I am a stay at home mom and she is used to me? I do all the same punishments as the rest of the family, it just seems to mean less when it comes from me.

I always thought it was someone who tells the teacher or parent EVERY single time their "friends" were doing something against the rules. My daughter says a tattle tale is someone who makes up stories to get someone in trouble. Anyone know for sure?

My 21/2 yr.daughter and I went to WAL-MART this morning. There was an older, heavy set woman in the isle with us, and she looked alot like my aunt Marsha. Well, she farted kinda loud, and I turned away trying to pretend I didn't hear her, but my daughter very loudly said "Moma! Marsha tooted!" I tried to keep from cracking up, but she just kept repeating it. I know the woman heard, cause I could see her giggling. I just turned my basket around and hightailed it out of there.

10 y.o. is coughing for hrs and feeling body aches. You have medicine that tastes OK...kinda like unsweetened OJ and have no $$ to get anything of the new candy-flavored medicines. Still you know this works. She defiantly says she won't take it. Do you swat her rear/hand and lay down the law since this is a health issue or let the child decide? To answerers: If you think step moms have no rights to basic respect from a step kid and should tolerate being walked over and emotionally abused don't bother answering this one. I don't need your input/guilt trips.

What's the deal with teen pregnancy? I dont see it as a huge problem. As long as the couple is mature enough to handle it, I think it should be treated as any other pregnancy.
