First, your hormones are still trying to acheive some form of balance. Second, I've had friends and family that have had the depo shot and not gotten thier period back for 6 or more months. What else are you doing? Are you exercising, working, etc? I didn't have a period when I went to Basic training and AIT because of the physical demand. HOWEVER, since I'm not a doctor, you should probably make an appt with your Gyno if you are really worried. Hope this helps a little

The depo shot can really throw your hormones out of whack. I personally believe they should pull it off the market because so many women have problems with it. I had 2 shots after my first miscarriage and my period didn't return for a year and it took another year for me to get pregnant again. March 2005 I had 1 shot and my period returned in June but they lasted for 20 days. I had to go on the pill to reverse the damage that the shot caused because it made my hormone levels drop so low.

it could be because you had the depo shot, now I'd make sure you get the shots regularly if you don't want to get pregnant again, and the shot does make some woman not have a period. And also it may be your period trying to get back on track after having a baby and having the shot. Call your OB and they'll let you know for sure.

You should take a pregnancy test to rule that out and then go to your doctor and discuss the problem as well as what birth control method you intend to use. If you are going to use the shot you need to get it regularly.
PS. Lack of period could be caused by anything from weight gain to hormonal imbalance.

How long ago did you stop breastfeeding? And get your shot? I stopped breastfeeding and got my period in time for my next cycle..around 4 -5 weeks later. Everyone is different. if you have serious concerns, maybe you should contact your ob/gyn.

Lots of women don't get periods for 6 months or more. One of my friends wasn't breast feeding and didn't get it for 9 months. That's not at all unusual. But if you don't want to get pregnant get your depo on time because just because you haven't seen your period yet doesn't mean you're not ovulating...you always ovulate before you bleed, so you could get pregnant if you don't get your shot.

I would call your doctor and see what he or she says.
