I asked this before and got only one answer, I will try to ask this in a bit different way:
From what I read here about the wide acceptance of corporal punishment of kids here I get the impression that many people here see obediance to parents as their main goal no matter at what cost, esp. as there were also people who wrote the main reason to spank a child would be the word "no" from the mouth of the child. Now what I want to know is if this is really such a widespread thinking in America and how far do people believe in other, positive goals of parenting and education like the happiness of their children, their ability to critical thinking and their ability to solve problems without force.

I am in favour of parents being allowed to displine their own children, Beating them is wrong but a smack on the leg or bum i am in favour of being a parent my self. When i was a child if i was seen doing something wrong by an adult in the street they would go to my homae and tell my parents and they would take the approite steps with their punshiment, Now a days you cant do tat cos its mor liklythe parents will end up smaking the adult, times have changed mostley for the better, but in cases like this for the worse.

Who thinks thats parents/carers should be to blame for small kids rotten teeth . I know 2 kids both under 8 who had to have all teeth removed as they were all rotten . Who`s to blame ? It angers me to see children with bad teeth .... I mean small kids maybe 8 & under , the dentist reckons kids 8+ are able to clean their own teeth satisfactoraly . Don`t get me wrong even my kids have a filling but i mean really bad teeth and small kids need someone to keep them right and even help with brushing .I know this will opena can of worms as someone will mention may mention junk food etc but no matter what u eat as long as the teeth are brushed properly 2-3 times daily they should remain strong healthy teeth .

My 2.5 yr old has chicken pox. Even though I am doing my best to relieve him from scratching the pimples - I am concerned that he does it in his sleep. Anything tried & tested I can use to help reduce the scars after he is healed?

My friend has an 18 month old boy. everytime she sits him down to feed him he simply screams until she walks away. He's always trying to climb out of his chair so she straps him in. she's very worried he's not getting enough food and has to suplimant it with milk. He'll eat finger food (tomatoes, cheese, biscuits etc) but refuses point blank to eat any of the meals she prepares. Now I must admit she still sort of processess meals for him so he might be fed up with that. Any ideas?

Are they worse than the abuser and should we start prosecuting them?
i'm studying to be a psychotherapist, and a lot of things i hear about child abuse the child tells the mum what daddy has been doing, and reactions can be anything from telling them off for lying, beating them for being evil to telling them its daddy's way of showing he loves you. quite often this does more psychological damage to the child than the abuse. i find this quite disturbing, am i wrong??

For the last 5days or so I have been feeling my right lower abdomen and below my belly button hurt, I have been feeling tired all day long. Today I have a big headache and I feel like I want to vomit.

I had unprotected sex during ovulation but we used the pull out method, except on day 17 of my cycle (that is not during ovulation) where he kept going, my next period should come in around 4 more days.

Please any advice, serious answers, thank you
