Oh, dear. You got married because she was pregnant, and now you fear she may not be? Perhaps even that she lied to you? No, my dear, but she may have lied to herself. I did. When I was 15 (it was a rocky 15 years, you see), I got pregnant, or so I thought, and got married. Fact is, my boyfriend and I were trying so hard to get me pregnant so the parents would have to let me marry him, that we talked ourselves into believing it without even going to a doctor. (No simple drugstore test in those days; you killed a rabbit every time. Very pagan, in a way.)

Anyway, it happens. A girl (or in my case, a couple) can believe she is pregnant any time she misses a period. And she may miss a period just for being all hyped up about getting pregnant. If it turns out she is not really pregnant, be kind to her. It is likely that she lied to herself, not to you. Young bodies do that when they get stressed, and being young and single is stress enough.

They usually start about 4 to 6 weeks into the pregnancy. However some women have no symptoms. And there first indication is a missed period.
