If she can do it I wouldn't worry. I think it's normal to be a little older, but as long as she can do it safely just make sure she doesn't drown herself in formula while she's doing it.

You may have a smarter than average baby.

Healthy baby girls move at the speed of light in development, as opposed to the boys. Not surprising, but just because she appears to be advancing well, that doesn't mean it's a good idea for her to do all of these things. She's an infant, nonetheless, and needs tender and attentive care. If she's able to keep her hands on her bottle, that's great, just make sure she's in the arms of a parent while doing so. Eye contact and physical closeness is extremely important.

And though you feel put down by people referring to you as a young mother, at the age of 17, that is exactly what you are. Were you 20 years older, you would be happy for someone to call you young. 17 is far better than 15. Continued enjoyment and luck with your new baby.

well she is young to start doing all that, but I wouldn't worry you just have a very special talented little baby. If I were you though I would definatly say something to her pediatrician the next time you go in for a well visit just to see what his point of view would be on your situation. I wouldn't worry about it though, Good luck

That is amazing that she does all those things while being so very young. But it isn't appropriate to let her hold up her botle with her tiny tiny hands. I am amazed to know that. It isn't THAT common. You should let her hold the bottle after she's at least 6 months old. Best of luck to both of you!

It perfectly normal for a mommy to think your baby is the best and smartest and cutest because I did that too!!! But you shouldn't let her hold bottle by herself yet... you don't want her to get choked by the milk! My son laughed when he was around your baby's age too! They are soooo cute! By the way, is she feeling ok now??

you asked this question already, why are you asking it again? No one in their right mind is going to believe a 2 week old baby is trying to crawl!!!!...People told you that already, so move on to a new attention getting question....I told you in my other answer, call the news media, so we can all see this miracle!!!! what a crock!
