No way! I want my life back while I'm still young enough to enjoy it, definitely would not want to be just getting started raising a kid at 40. I would also be concerned that my health could go or I could die before my child reached adulthood.

I'm 36 now and my husband is 38, we only have one child. I really would like to have another one. I love that I've been able to devote my full attention to one child, but would love to give her a little brother or little sister. So if we haven't by the time I'm 40, I might still try. I think the key is to check with your Dr. and get a full exam to make sure you are as healthy as possible. 40 is not old at all.

My mom was 42 when she had me, and as a child I beg parents not to have children after 40. Don't just think about your wants and needs, but think of the child you're bringing into this world. I love my mom, but I wish she would've had me at earlier age.

I would and I did.

Gave birth to third child at age 42 - blessed so much by wonderful, articulate, intelligent daughter now 9 years old!

She helps me stay young - we snowmobile, camp, home-school and volunteer in our community. Have never regretted having her, although I'm sure some people thought we were mad, but were too polite to say so!

I would and I did...I am 50 now, have had six sons...two after the age of 40.

We planned these children, though not exactly for this late in life...smiling. Health issues precluded me from getting pregnant after our third son...for awhile, at least.

There are things you need to know, though, before conceiving. The website below is sufficient.

Good luck, dear one, in whatever you decide.

I have a sixteen year old daughter who is gorgeous and also too intelligent for her own good. When she was born, I was 54 and her mother was 43.
She is my only child, and I love her dearly, even though she can be a pain sometimes.

For myself nope, but that doesn't mean I don't think it's right for other women. Every woman is different everyone of us makes our own choices.
