I am about 14 weeks pregnant and I just want to have some idea about whether or not I am having a girl or boy before I actually find out from the doctor. I've heard already that when some other people were pregnant with their sons, that they craved meat. I am not craving meat, so hopefully it is a girl. Anything would help though. I'm just curious.

I just put up a question about a young female who thinks she knows everything and I didn’t get many responses. I would really like a few more opinions on this. This child seems to be a little immature for having a baby at her age, and does not seem fit. Why would someone want to have child when they are just a child themselves? What are your feelings about what this girl (defiantly not women) is doing? I fear that she is putting it into other little girls’ heads that it is okay to have children at a young age. I wouldn’t want my child around such a ignorant child who thinks it’s “okay” to have a child. Don’t you think any children born to parents 18 or younger should be taken away from the parents and put into a better home?

Here is the question I’m talking about:

My 8 month old woke up this morning jaundiced. She was at the children's hospital and they ran tests, she appears to be okay and her biliruben levels aren't high, but they think it is related to amoxicillin...anyone ever heard of this???

both my man & i work 40 hours a week, i make $12.00 an hour, my man makes $9.25, between the 2 of us i dont think that we make alot of money. we make it but we are NOT living lavishly. im 10 weeks preg and i have looked into Wic and help with paying for child care when i go back to work, apparently we make too much money to qualify for either aide. what is a hard working couple like us supposed to do? should we both quit our jobs and look for a shitty job that would allow us to qualify for gov aide? that is just stupid! but seriously what are we to do? it seems like the only people that can get any help are the ones that dont aspire to be anything, or to do anything more with their lives, that dont have good jobs, maybe thats why soo many people stay in low paying jobs so that they can get the help to feed their kids or to pay for child care. it seems like the gov gives too much help to ppl that abuse the system, and not enough to everyone else. any advise on what we could do for help?

My daughter is now 9 months old, and has shown no sign of teething. Her pediatrician said at the latest she should have a tooth by 8 months. I just moved so I'm on the hunt for a pediatritian like I like and that my daughter likes. So I haven't been able to take her in just yet.
I have noticed that she has a rash on her chin. I thought that I remembered reading somewhere that that can sometimes be a sign due to the baby rubbing their mouth. But she's not showing any of the teething signs. I mean...biting down on stuff...she does that...but what baby doesn't? I am so confused. I know that all babies develop at different rates. But I'm concerned that she doesn't have any toofers yet. Can someone possibly give me a reason for this...

I have a three year old and a baby due in 3 weeks. People constantly buy my kids stuffed animals and those toys seem to be taking over my house. I'd swear that where there was only two stuffed bears yesterday, this morning there are at least six. Anyone else have this problem? If so, what are you doing to prevent the stuffed animal takeover?

I'm over 34 weeks and finding it very hard to go in to the office. I'd like to work from home for the next 3-4 weeks and then start my leave with vacation days that I've accrued. Many of my co-workers have expressed that they worked right up until the day they delivered (or the day before). This seems totally implausible to me! Am I alone in this?

My five week old son has had severe constipation for a few days. I was going to let it fix itself, but yesterday his little hiny-hole was so backed up, he started throwing up and he has a fever too.
Well, I was watching the new show Jericho and I saw that scene where that man gave the girl a tracheotomy to clear up her air passage. This gave me an idea.
I want to give my son a tracheotomy at his "taint" to clear up his fecal passage. I need to know what size PVC pipe to use, and do I need to create some suction or will the blockage come out on its own? Don't worry about me hurting him. I still have some Vicodin from my 17 year old son's wisdom teeth removal.

I was in the hospital for 14 hours...10 hours on pitocin. I had many contractions, none were painful. At the end, I had dialated to a 2. My doctor wants me to try another induction next tuesday (2 days before my due date)

A little background: Baby was turned transverse (sideways) and they wanted me to come in before I go into labor so they could turn her head-down and then induce me to get her out vaginally instead of just jumping the gun and doing a C-Section. When I arrived at the hospital, she was already head-down, so they just went ahead and started the induction. She has now stayed head-down for 3 days. I'm thinking of just telling him I don't want to induce, but wait, now that she is head-down and ready to go. By the way, My first 2 kids were born easily, no complications or problems, but they were both AFTER my due dates.
Any experience or suggestions would be helpful. thanks.

I am 36 weeks pregnant, and have a had a pretty normal pregnancy. One of my co-workers is also a pregnant, about a month behind me. She is 36 years old, smokes, drinks, and uses marijuana-she also had to have a cerclage (stitch on her cervix) because she started to dialate at 27 weeks. My feelings are that it's her body and her baby, so if she wants to potentially do harm, then it's her problem. However, she constantly belittles me for not doing those things and for taking care of myself by eating decent foods and drinking water rather than pop or sugary drinks all the time. I am not perfect, by far, and I don't pretend to be. I have tried to ignore her because I know I'm doing what is right for myself and my baby. I don't usually speak to her, but she's started butting in on conversations I have with our other co-workers. I only have a week and a half before my maternity leave starts, but this chick is getting on my last nerve and I'm soooo close to losing it on her. Any suggestions?

Why should school sponsored or mass prayer be allowed?

Or, why should it continue to be banned?

What ethical issues inform your decision?

I'm writing a paper and getting some ideas.

my wife decided the other day to give our 15 year old daughter "the talk"... you know the talk i mean, the one with the bees and birds etc.

why would she be telling my daughter all these disgusting words? i hope she isnt using them on the playground, but its hard to explain how inappropriate they are when it was her own mother that taught them to her!
