Pregnancy & Parenting - 21 September 2006

I am about 8 days post ovulation and I am having a weird feeling in my lower abdomen. Kind of sharp pains ,but not strong. 3 days ago I was having pain in my ovary. This morning I had extreme shortness of breath! Has anyone every had this?

I ALREADY HAVE A GYNO APPOINTMENT IN THE MORNING.

If I only work part time (under twenty hours) can I still get disability/maternity leave for six weeks and paid family leave for six weeks? I live in CA.

both my man & i work 40 hours a week, i make $12.00 an hour, my man makes $9.25, between the 2 of us i dont think that we make alot of money. we make it but we are NOT living lavishly. im 10 weeks preg and i have looked into Wic and help with paying for child care when i go back to work, apparently we make too much money to qualify for either aide. what is a hard working couple like us supposed to do? should we both quit our jobs and look for a shitty job that would allow us to qualify for gov aide? that is just stupid! but seriously what are we to do? it seems like the only people that can get any help are the ones that dont aspire to be anything, or to do anything more with their lives, that dont have good jobs, maybe thats why soo many people stay in low paying jobs so that they can get the help to feed their kids or to pay for child care. it seems like the gov gives too much help to ppl that abuse the system, and not enough to everyone else. any advise on what we could do for help?

He's been stuffed up for almost a week. I don't want to run to the doctor with everything, but I'm not sure if I should. he has not had a fever, and now he has a little cough too (it's so sad). If I have to restrain him to use the aspirator again, I might die. We are taking warm baths with the Johnsons cold vapor bath, and I am using an over the counter decongestiont they said I could use last time. Any ideas?

I am white and her father is black... I've never seen a newborn bi-racial baby - I know her skin will be lighter but how light and what about her hair it will definately be dark right? anyone with bi-racial babies that can tell me what to expect.... I am 38 weeks and 2 days and have had this pain (some of you may have read about it) that feels like my baby is cutting his way out with a knife on the top of my uterus. It has gotten to the point where I cant sit, stand, or even lay down to sleep! The mild Vicodin she gave me wont help and tylenol wont either. I called L&D and they said since it doesn't "sound" like I am in labor that they would probably just send me home. Why wont they even do an ultrasound to make sure everything is ok? I have read that placental abruption causes pain with or without bleeding. I know you guys are not doctors bu I just need to VENT! My fiancee said that if i decide to go in he will go with me and tell them to do an ultrsound or something. would that make me look bad or should I take his advice? I dont want them to think I just want drugs because I dont even like taking tylenol but It hurts SO bad. I just want to know everthing is ok?

I am 18 yrs old very shy as a person nice to everone , always trying to be friendly, and quiet unless i now you. I dont think at 110 pounds and 5 ft 5 or 5ft 6 that i am short or fat. My face is clear i dont get pimples that much anymore. I wear very little makeup and make sure my hair is always neat and dresses neatly too. So i dont think i am ugly but i always attract guys that treat me like property and are possesive/controling/manipulat... Is it me? My parent are also very controling so i dont need a guy like this. And i try to give everyone a chance.

My twin girls seem ready to potty train. I have provided them both w/ their own potty chair, but they always want the other's one. I tried taking them to the potty every hour, but they would get off because one had an accident or wanted to go earlier. Any suggestions? Thanks

I used to get free birth control pills in washington state where I grew up. Moving to florida with my husband and then gave birth to a baby, I now take low dose estrogen BCP because I breastfeed. I was covered under medcaid which covered for my pills now i am not. Where can i recieve free birth control pills?

My daughter is 7 weeks old today, ever since she was 2 weeks old she would hold her head up and roll over and "play"" shes very active. Now she is trying to like sit on her own and grab things. I heard, I don't know if it is true but babies start getting teeth when they start you know sitting and grabbing, but I don't know.
Anyways I thought teeth come in from the front bottom, but I was looking at my daughter's mouth and in the very back left side there is a white molar looking thing, could that be a tooth?
