Okay if your pain then you need to see your doctor and he will probably tell you to stay off your feet...Get a note bring it in and give them a nice resignationletter due to "Medical Reasons"....Your boss can not stop you from quitting ( a job is a job)...Good luck and don't let your boss stress you. You have rights honey, don't you know that?

I chewed for a good few years, giving up was tough but I think I have some advice for you. What I did was bought like 20 gallons of bottled water, multivitamins, and vitamins C packets. I told myself that when I wake up the next day I will not have a chew from this day on, started drinking a ton of water with vitamins C, started jogging and using a sauna. What I did gave my body the ability to sweat and pee out as much nicotine as possible. I kept that going for a good week, until I really didn't crave nicotine as much. I recommend the cold turkey approach, keeping in mind that the battle is against nicotine. I also found replacing the physical activity of chewing was easily replaceable with gum and sunflower seeds. I could never ween myself off because my body would always want just a little more nicotine, usually leading to regular usage. Hope that helps, sometimes you just have to tackle it head on

Give her a variety of options. If she doesn't want to "hear" it, send her an email, or draft up an old-fashioned letter, make sure to CC Human Resources.
Give her the mandatory two weeks notice, and start cleaning off your desk!
Really! She can't STOP you from quitting! Try to be as reasonable as possible, however. No use burning bridges. You may want to list her as a former employer someday!
You're blessed to have the opportunity to leave your job. Good luck with your pregnancy!

Your boss is your boss at work, not the boss of your life. If you're experiancing pain see your doctor. But, if your husband is ok with it and you can afford it, type up a nice letter of resignation and hand it in. Talk to her about it, and try to leave as nicely as possible, because you don't want to burn any bridges. You have to do whats best for YOU!
Good luck

Even though you plan on staying home after you have the baby, you may need this reference to find another job someday, otherwise I'd just say tell you boss Goodbye and leave. But since you probably don't want to burn your bridges (and since it's not really nice to leave to leave her in the lurch,) just give her written notice that you're leaving in two weeks. She may not want to hear it, but she has no choice!

Just put your notice in on paper, that simple she can't argue a piece of paper right!! Then you can say you gave your notice if you ever decide to go back to work.
Good luck with the baby

be honest. do what's best for you, what's best for you is best for the baby. who is more important your baby or your bosses feeling? if something went wrong with your pregnancy while you were at work you would always wonder if i had taken the time off and rested???? your boss may be sympathetic but she will get over it will you???

Give her your two weeks notice in writing, make sure you make a copy of it just in case, hand it to her and tell her last day will be the date you choose. They can't stop you from quiting.

Yeah, write her a note, or call her on the phone if you don't want to do it face to face. It's your life, she can't make you work for her! It you want a reference or think you might come back later, give two weeks notice.
