It is really weird. I am on the pill, and my period has been very strange. I started it on Sunday for all of 3 hours and now it has completely stopped, any suggestions why this is? I don't think I am pregnant but it is a very slim possibility, because I am on the pill and we didn't get to the best part if you know what I mean? I am not stressed, actually I would say I was quite happy. Do people usually miss periods on the pill? I just need to know what is going on. I have been on the same pill for 4 years and I have never had a problem like this before (I am 19 years old) c x

It's in all the papers today...I personally (depending on the child in question) don't think the ODD smack leg does any harm..to use it often or as a way of venting your own anger isn't a good thing...Some children need a good sharp smack to bring them into line, With the attitude of kids today, it should be used more, and in the schools too!

Is it right or wrong?

I personally was smacked as a child and it didn't do me any harm and it certainly made me behave.

I have a 6 year old who is generally well behaved. The past year, she has been crying a lot. For simple things like if I ask her to put her shoes on (and she instead wanted to have something to eat first). She has a younger brother (3 years old). She is also having severe fits, once a week, if i am angry at her. Any suggestions?

like i said befor i am 7 weeks preg. i went to the docters twice for light spotting. well it wasnt even really spotting, it was more like when i wiped i had a light pink discharge. nothing that got on my underwear or anything. anyways, this was about 2 weeks ago, i found out i was preg then like that night me and my fiance had sex and later that morning i had the pink discharge. then i went to the er and the docter said everything was fine. so the next morning, or maybe 2 mornings aftre that i woke up and had a brownish spotting. again i went to the er (i know i worry, but being preg is stressfull and scary) so then last night, well actually this morning i had some m ore light pink discharge. and it was like only once when i wipped. the docters told me the last time i went to the er that my hcg levels were going up and things should be fine. but its like the only time i have this discharge is when we have had intercourse. if u cld just kinda help that would be great! thank you

My daughter is 18 months old, and for the past week has been spitting up once a day. It isnt much, but it still concerns me. She doesnt seem sick in any way. Should i worry about this, or is she still young enough that its nothing major to worry over?

ok I will make this as short as possible. My ex fiance has not seen his daughter in 5 months. mInd you that he has rights to her every weekend. I set it up that way. Here is the problem I found a note on my door yeasterday when I got home from work from his g/f whom he cheated on me with asking if she could buy my daughter a christmas gift..The problem is that they have not been around for 5 months and just popped in to buy her love. I went through this when we were together. He has an older child and I pushed him into getting her and having contact with her and I stopped pushing so he got her at christmas and her birthday ..which ok she is 8 and remembers who he is .my daughter is 2 and does not know who he is because he simply walked out of her life....should I let them buy the gift and let them in when? I do not know what to do I am still not over him but I am trying to do what is best for the baby.He has missed alot in the past 5 months.. please help? GOING OUT OF MY MIND

I'd like to take a short weekend break away with my husband but what age do you think I can leave my daughter. I'm not going to say what age she is (although she is over 6 months) as I'd like genuine responses especially from people who've done this. She knows my parents well and tends to see them at least once a week. Mum often has her for several hours.

...Is like dealing with a very small drunk person? Putting them to bed when they are acting out because they are so tired, kind of like taking care of somebody that is so drunk, they don't even know where they are?

Had this experience last night, just wondering.

I'm a single mom of a 12 yr old daughter and we both have seen each other naked. In fact we have a one bedroom apartment so we often have to change in the same room or for example ill be in the shower and she'll be brushing her teeth. Honestly I don't see anything wrong with it. My mom and I have even see each other naked.

Shes in her late 50's and Im in my 30s and its really no big deal. We often go to the pool together and when we change in the locker room we see each other naked. We don't turn our faces around or anything, but we don't mind even though we can literally see everything.

So why do people especially in the US think its so wierd?

I beleive that if you wrap your children in cotton wool and never let them make mistakes that it can be damaging to there self esteem in the future and can lead to them not being able to face problems with courage. just the right amount of love would suffice. does anyone share my opinion?

My daughter is otherwise an intelligent child but to grab attention she would do anything. She has become more demanding now and beats her friends of same age if they don't listen to her, what she says. The frustration some times gets to anger. It causes embarrassment to us as she exhibits her anger on poor friend of hers who is so submissive and well behaved girl. Pls suggest how to get her little less aggressive. Also she doesn't listen to what we say most of the times now, doing only that which is not preferred by us.
Both my daughter and her friend go to preschool everyday together and my daughter wants her friend to do as she wants.

My son who is almost 3 is enrolled in a pre-school. However it breaks my heart every time I drop him off cause he screams and cries. The teachers assure me that it stops 2 minutes after I leave. I feel so bad. When I go to pick him up he tells me all the fun he has had but I hate leaving him crying like that. What should I do? Should I pull him out of it? Or do you have any suggestions for making this easier on him? He really needs to get used to being away from me so he is ready for school in a couple years so I thought this would be good for him. How long should I wait it out before I decide he just isn't ready?

just wondered what people's views are on 'smacking' there children? do you think its wrong that parents are allowed to smack? do you think its just cruel and should it be made illegal? or would you say its fair to smack a child for misbehaving etc as punishment? who on here can admit to smacking there children? i haven't got children myself, but i know that i would never hit my children when my time comes to become a parent... but as a child, my mum and dad use to smack me if i misbehaved.. whats peoples views?
