My 7 year old was putting together his Christmas list (I know it is too early) and has asked for the following.
1) A Pokemon DVD
2) Nintendo DS lite (Black)
3) Special Powers

I am fine with the first 2 but number 3 will be a struggle. I tried to suggest he already has the power to confuse sheep but he is after something more useful like flying or X-ray vision.
Any suggestions

I recently asked a question about my son hitting his head often. An answer I got has been on my mind for about a day. They said that if CPS was called they'd do an investigation and everything would be okay. My son isn't hitting his head hard enough to leave bruises, nor do I hit or beat him but I was just wondering; what kind of investigations do they do to insure a child isn't getting abused? How do can they tell that the child is merely falling down or bumping his/her head or body on something? Thank you for your answers!

i had been to the family medicine last week for Hcg test ,it was 157 "the hormon" i guess,so i was told by dr that my wife is pregnant but the pregnency is too minor ,what does doctor meant? i am sure the pregnancy is positive but what is the 157 means? because in the firs 4week the posibility to be pregnant is from 40 _ 4480, in the 2nd week from ......etc.
please help me ? i wannt to be so happy .

We are caucasian and we are having a hard time finding a name for our soon to be son.
The last name is Wilhite and we would like to have Joe as the middle name as it is the name of both of our fathers.

Any suggestions?
We are thinking Brayden Joe Wilhite but any others will be great to see.

Last night I lost my mucus plug which was tinged with blood and I was having a few contractions,they say I am dialeted 2-3cm. They sent me home because I was not contracting enough..Can you loose your mucus plug but not go into labor for a while or does it usually indicate its right around the corner?

I am thinking about getting and IUD i have been on depo provera for a while but it has caused me to gain about 15lbs i get severe headaches and am always tired i went to the doctors yesterday and told her about my symptoms and she told me that i would have to stop taking the depo and find another form of bc that would work for me the pill does not work for me that is how i ended up having my son so i guess that i just want to hear from women that have had IUDs in the past i just want to know everything did you have any complications, side effects, did you like it just anything that you can think of would be nice

I have never allowed my children to play with any toys that are violent inlcuding knives, toy bombs, guns, ans swards. I feel if they can play with them for fun they may not understand the difference and the harm a real one can cause. I believe even when shown kids are not mature enough to honestly know the difference.

I came across this artical in which a child who is 6 is suspended from school for bringing a toy gun to school. I pasted part of it... I don't know how to hyperlink.

Hello to everyone that was kind enough to answer me while I was obsessing about trying to get pg. I just found out this morning after waking and feeling very sick and tired that I am pg.. Used to work with people with all kinds of problems and - quite rightly - I would have been prosecuted if I had ever harmed them in anyway because they were in my care as are the children of all the parents in the world. What does it teach a child - If you are big enough and strong enough your will can prevail, but is that love? Think it through people, if you lash out only thing that can result is harm and damage and has anyone ever put out a fire by throwing more fuel on it?

Can anyone help me with the numbers and possiblities? I was 5 weeks pregnant and miscarried on the 31st of Aug. I only had a little bit of blood that day but then had heavier period like bleeding starting on Sept 3rd. On the 18th I had old brownish blood that was a little bit clotty like. It was only for like 1 hour that it bleed and then I will just have a bit when I wipe now. It was never red or pink always brown. I have been feeling very sick lately and having symptoms exactly like when I was pregnant. So... do you think its implantation bleeding, or effects from the miscarriage? I really dont know where my cycle is at now but I am 27 days from when I would have had a period had I not been pregnant. And 21 days from the day of miscarriage. Thanks for the help.

Ok, well I cant remember exactly when my last period was but it was sometime in the beginning/middle of August. Around the same time, I stopped taking my birth control. Then September 8th and 9th I had unprotected sex, but he pulled out. Well I still have yet to get my period. I took 2 pregnancy tests yesterday(in the middle of the day if that matters) Well both said negative. So now Im really confused to whats going on. Do you have any ideas?

I have a step daughter who turned 18 in June. She is living with her mother and now has decided she doesn't want to visit. She isn't working. She is living there rent free and mom pays her car payment and car insurance. She was suppose to start college this fall term but now thinks she might wait to the winter term . Mom will be paying for tution too. My husband is frustrated with this situation and we both think Mom paying all her bills is not helping her. What do you think?

I have lost my mucus plug, had my membranes stripped as of this past Saturday.... the contractions are stronger since Saturday but I am still 3-4 cm dilated... Does it take a while longer?

I had my daughter when i was 18 ( i'm now 25) and i always felt there was a stigma attached. I have worked since my daughter was small and always paid my own way. my daughter is very bright and well behaved. why is it that people think that all teen mothers are living on benefits with screaming brats that run wild and why are teen mums portrayed in such a bad light by the media? I am not in anyway condoning teens having babies before anyone says it but even now people raise their eyebrows at me when i say i had a kid at 18... why?
