Well if you want to hear it gets better , I hate to be the one to break this to you but its not. My daughter just had her 2ND child and she said it wasn't like the 1st one. The last 2 months were nothing but contractions and cramping and aches and pain she didn't have with the 1st one.And your right ,its just the baby preparing itself ,settling down into the birth canal . She had a lot of trouble sleeping towards the end but when my granddaughter came ,she said it was all worth it .Every ache and pain !! She is so precious...Good luck to you and congratulations, its a wonderful experience!!

Those are Braxton-Hicks contractions. Sorry to tell you they will stay about the same until you go into actual labor. I had those for like three weeks before labor.

They're Braxton-Hicks, you will have them off and on until you go into labor. I had them for about a month before I went into labor. Hang in there, at 37.4 weeks, you've got about 2.6 weeks to go.

Sounds like Braxton-Hicks contractions. They happen to a lot of people, LOL to the point where they have a name for them! But your body is getting ready to deliver that baby, and she's (or he!) is just about ready to be out too! Just make sure you have your baby bag packed for when if you have to rush to the hospital. CONGRATULATIONS!

You shouldn't be too much worry. As you have said, the body is preparing for the great event. Dilation is taking place bit by bit in some women before that time comes. I had it as frequent as you say.

It is called braxton-hix or something like that. Is normal. Just make sure your baby is moving in a period of 24 hours. If you don't feel the baby move in more than 24 hours see your doctor.

This happened to me also. They are false labor pains, or Braxton-Hicks. You will know when true labor begins when the pains become more regular, so you can time them. True labor will progress and pains will become more intense.
Good luck to you on the birth of your baby!
