Can anyone help me with the numbers and possiblities? I was 5 weeks pregnant and miscarried on the 31st of Aug. I only had a little bit of blood that day but then had heavier period like bleeding starting on Sept 3rd. On the 18th I had old brownish blood that was a little bit clotty like. It was only for like 1 hour that it bleed and then I will just have a bit when I wipe now. It was never red or pink always brown. I have been feeling very sick lately and having symptoms exactly like when I was pregnant. So... do you think its implantation bleeding, or effects from the miscarriage? I really dont know where my cycle is at now but I am 27 days from when I would have had a period had I not been pregnant. And 21 days from the day of miscarriage. Thanks for the help.

First of all, I am very sorry for your loss, I know this is very emotional for you right now. However to your question - Your body will take a whole month to six weeks to get back to normal... With the brownish bleeding happing for this whole time. I too miscarried in August at 10 wks along... I had to have a DNC - NOT fun... The possibility of getting pregnant again right away is extremely high! So, this maybe why you are feeling sick. If you haven't seen a Doctor, I'd advise you to do so. Your body may be in the need of help to finish the miscarrage process or you maybe pregnant again. >>> If not, forget about what your normal cycle was - this starts all over & you won't be on the same schedule you once were... I hope this helps!

Sorry about your loss. Did you get a proper DNC done after the miscarriage? Sometimes, if part of the tissue remains inside you can suffer from infection, pain, fever and all sorts of problems. Please sont feel bad about calling your docotr and asking him/her to see you as soon as possible.
If you are not pregnant again, its best if you wait at least 3-6 months before conceiving again. It will increase your chances of not suffering another miscarriage. Also discuss with your doc, what is the reason you lost the pregnancy so that it can be avoided in the future. My sist, for example, had an undiagnosed thyroid condition. I dont know why the doc did not check, but as a result she lost 2 babies... My friend's lining of the uterus was not thick enough so she miscarried and the next time she got pregnant she took progesterone during the first trimester, and had a beatiful baby girl. Sometimes, the reason is genetic problem with the fetus, or medicine can not tell yet. But if there is an answer to your problem, you should demand for it. Good luck

Im so sorry for your loss and understand how u feel as i have also had one. the 18th seems a long way off to begin the miscarage bleeding again, once it stops Im pretty sure it wouldn't start again 15 days later?? U may have an infection there as a result of miscarrage. Please see doc and good luck to you.

It might be possible you are pregnant because the brownish spoting is the implantation process.
