For about 8 months after my babies birth I could feel the scar, sometimes if I sat down wrong it would hurt. I haven't felt it in a really long time. The only times it ever hurt was during sex, after a while that feeling went away also.

I have heard this can happen and if it really is bad than you can be operated on to have the old scar tissue removed, but the only downfall to this is if the new scar will cause the same problems for you i hope all goes well for you

Nope, never and I had 6 stitches 5 years ago! I had another baby 6 months ago and I didn't tear or need an episitomy.

most women they do...thats one of the reasons that episiotomy's are becomming uncommon....its easier to heal from a tear... i tore and have had no problems but my best friend was cut and ended up having to have corrective surgery to fix it

THERE MAY BE LOTS OF TINY BLOOD VESSELS WITHIN THE SCAR AND IT BECOMES PAINFUL BRUISED ETC AS A RESULT OF INCREASED BLOOD FLOW TO THE AREA. MINE DID HURT PERIODICALLY UNTIL I HAD MY SECOND BABY AND A WHOLE LOAD OF NEW STITCHES NOW IT SEEMS 100% BETTER........YOU COULD HAVE A LITTLE PLASTIC SURGERY TO FIX IT. SEE NHS GP FOR RE-FERAL TO OBSTETRICS..............DON'T BE EMBARRASSED THE DOC WHO SEWED ME UP SECOND TIME TOLD ME TO GET A REFERRAL IF I HAD ANY PROBLEMS IN THE FUTURE.
GOOD LUCK TO YOU AND ANY OTHERS THAT ARE STILL SUFFERING.

No... mine was 18 months ago no problems. Maybe you should get it looked at if its very painful. An odd teinge probably nothing to worry about.

Hope all goes well.
