It is really weird. I am on the pill, and my period has been very strange. I started it on Sunday for all of 3 hours and now it has completely stopped, any suggestions why this is? I don't think I am pregnant but it is a very slim possibility, because I am on the pill and we didn't get to the best part if you know what I mean? I am not stressed, actually I would say I was quite happy. Do people usually miss periods on the pill? I just need to know what is going on. I have been on the same pill for 4 years and I have never had a problem like this before (I am 19 years old) c x

You can get pregent on the pill my sister did & she had twin boys.Talk with your GYN if this bothers you so much because there isn't no such thing as being safe on the pill.Good Luck

Okay been on the pill since you were 15 and never a problem. You do not feel stressed but maybe your body does. But in truth it sounds like what is known as "break-through bleeding". I have not heard of it happening to a healthy 19 year old but who's to say not. It can also be a pre-period...around the time when the the unfertilized egg is being shed from you uterus...or a miscarriage. Call your OB/GYN nurse and ask if you need to be seen. You might need to have a pap smear done too.

the pill sometimes causes you to skip a period and also again strees illness and other factors can cause you to miss acycle, the birth control pills are hormone pills and can cause some hormonal problems especially if given in in the wrong dose as some people still get pregnant while on the pill. also the newer pills give very small periods and cut it completely for others. go see your doctor for a blood test to check for pregnacy and or hormonal problems to be safe as the pill will give a false reading for most urine tests.

You could be pregnant. Take a test, or go to your doctor if you are that concerned.
